RUMOR - (10-22-13 @ 1:50 pm) - I've received six different emails about this topic and after receiving the latest one, it is time to post. I'm hearing that Craig Dollansky is out of the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 at the end of the season.
Dollansky use to own this team but sold it to Big Game Tree Stands owner Tod Quiring so he could focus on the driving part of the sport. I'm hearing the team will stay around next year but will have another driver behind the wheel. I've been told by two different sources who that is but will wait a little longer on dropping that name to see if I can gather more information. So, Craig Dollansky is rumored to be out of the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7.

Wierd that Dollansky is gone, If I remember correctly the press release when Tod Q took over the reigns and Eyecon was announced as the sponsor it was a 3 year deal with Craig driving.....
Maybe Craig found greener pastures (or maybe if he can't put a full-time ride together we'll be seeing a #7 @ Knoxville more often in 2014?????

Does this mean Craig and Sammy can be best buddies again?

I think Tod's eyes were opened when Sammy took over for McCarl when it comes to the actual amount of $$ it takes to run a top team (from the sounds of it, Sammy spent ~ 1/2 the amount McCarl did with the same or better results (so the bottom line at the end of the season can still end up better even if you don't win as much or finish worse in ponts).
Another factor that I'm sure Tod takes into consideration is BRANDING, how many more T-shirts is Sammy selling than Craig. If it's double, that means the BRAND of Big Game Treestands is getting DOUBLE the exposure outside of the racetrack by being involved with Sammy over Craig.
No different than the other big sponsors through the years. It's all about ROI, and in sponsorship, ROI includes the merchandise sales as that's advertising that OTHER PEOPLE actually pay to wear as opposed to paying to have a TV commercial or billboard, or ad in a magazine.

I have to say vande, that was the same path I was thinking as well. Like him or not, Sammy has done this for a long time and knows the business end of it and from what I've heard can make the most of however many dollars you give him. At the end of the day these owners are running a business. Its hard to say what Craig has going on as well, maybe he has another dealing brewing.

I doubt very much that Sammy has spent less than McCarl did ,I for one would hate to see Sammy's engine bill every year, that team has been through a hell of a lot of motors, last year both Sammy & Craig went through 7 motors between them in Florida in only 3 races each a the WoO opener!!

I think you'd be surprised. That was one of the factors as to why Tod was going to let Sammy run for him after McCarl returned to the seat (but McCarl messed that up by throwing a hissy fit in the pits screaming at Sammy about an incident involving Austin that Sammy had no part in starting).
