Gravel will be in the BWW 82 for 2014. And of course Shane isnt going to release details yet, but he will be on the WoO Tour in the Big Game Car. Heard both of these from a very reliable source, actually a very good Racer himself about 3 weeks ago.

Yeah I know, if dollansky had as many fans as he does responses to this thread he might still be the driver, I like him but have been to lots of outlaw races and can't recall looking at a fan that has his shirt on ever. Shane Stewart is the same, David gravel the same, Stevie smith cant win woo races anymore.fact is dollansky can't win the points and struggles in the big races for the most part.i wish him the best but he is probaby heading home to run a limited schedule and get a job

Henderson will not be the replacement as I believe he is under contract with Brian Sundby for Knoxville in 2014.
|
Weekly local racers are under contract, this must be something new to weekly racing at local tracks.

Don"t think it is a fair comment to say you dont see alot of specific drivers t shirts. by saying that comment whose do you see alot of? Really Who? I"ve seen Dollansky shirts at outlaw shows, Stewart wasnt an outlaw this year to say you didnt see his shirts there doesnt even make much sense. and Gravel he's new to the tour not much time to really build up that shirt following kind of new. But I did see his family selling shirts at the Nationals and after his big win on the first night the next day looked like they were pretty busy with what they had. Some of these drivers dont have a huge budget for merchandising or trailers at every show selling theyre stuff like Darrah Pitman Schatz Kinser etc. just a thought.

|
$70,000 to $80,000 per motor??? You must be a little crazed to think this is true

Unless they have fired their crewchief, signing a contract don't mean s#%t in that operation.just ask the previous 10 or so drivers that have been with that team in the last 2 years! Lmao
|
Gravel has not signed anything yet.!,,, He Is just driving the car for now. Think he is just taking it race to race. Hear so much about crewvchief on Bww what's up??? If that the problem put Gravel/swank together.. I think the kid is just trying it out , heard his car owner is done for next year . If we keep loosing cars one by one in the Outlaw tour that is a dam Shame.
Love seeing young guys coming in. without some new drivers coming in and Guys either losing they're rides or scaling back the schedule or going into NASCAR what will we have left??? Kahne has the right idea about having Darah Sweet.. Now Put GRAVEL in a ride. Stewart has schatz still young, kinser the legend put K kinser in a ride or Gravel. Get women really interested in the sport put some young nice looking guys into a car, Then you will sell some shirts . Hope Craig gets to stay in the tour we need cars to fill the field..

I thought Gravel's family was his car owner. Not saying I'd be surprised if they are done (and wouldn't blame them, odds are is that they've lost $500,000 or more each year the past few years (due to no sponors and tons of travel).
As far as Dollansky goes, he's a solid driver (solid, not spectacular). He's good for 5+ wins per season, problem I see is that when the big $$ is on the line, he generally is not a contender (King's Royal, Nationals, WG National Open, Summer Nationals, Gold Cup).
If I had unlimited funds and were starting a team, I'd choose Craig (becuause he's solid) to get the team going. If I were wanting to win the big races, I'd be trying to get Schatz, Swindell or Saldana in my car (they win the big races).

Comes back to that old saying, location, location, location. Dollansky shirts are abundant in the upper Midwest.

I think Big game blew his good word on this deal as I won't go in to much detail as he cannot be trusted with what he says!
But the driver/racing gig is so cut throat it goes with the flow.
I would say it is between Stewart and Myers right now Stewart needs to make decision this week to go that direction or hold out for the Larson deal to unfold which is far from being closed.

I think Dollansky does alright as far as t-shirt sales go, obviously not as well as Sammy. I think since the 50th Nationals Sammy has probably outsold everyone. But around Nationals time you see plenty of Dollansky shirts, he's fairly popular at Knoxville cause he usually runs well there. I don't know specifics, but I would assume that most t-shirt sales in Sprint Car racing is at the Knoxville Nationals. I would guess along the lines of over half of their sales are during the 10 days of the Nationals.
Just a guess, but it would be interesting to see numbers.
