I never said twice as much $$, just said that Tod's eyes were opened by how much "spending waste" was being done with Terry running the team (let's say Sammy could rn the team and spend $500 less per race night, over the course of a 70 race season that's $35,000, I'd say that's enough to look at your program and who's running it wouldn't you?
When Sammy was subbing for Terry, the plan was to have a 3rd car for Sammy for him to run from time to time once Terry returned to the seat.
I don't know where you've watched McCarl race, but he acts the opposite of professional @ Knoxville (and many other tracks) DURING the night of the race event. It doesn't matter if you represent the sponsor well at PR events and such if you make an A$$ of yourself in front of the main people that see the car race EVERY WEEK. After the races, he's fine and probably one of the best people in the pits, but you can't be Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde...

I wasn't in disagreement with you just curious about the numbers.

the scary part is it doesn't take much on a "per race" basis teo be a lot at the end of a season.
I'm sure since Sammy started designing parts and pieces for Speedway Motors that that has only helped that bottom line (my guess is they probably don't pay anything for those parts and pieces and they are developing them for Speedway to sell).
I know of a local team (about 5-6 years ago) (for the record, to my knowledge it was not Terry McCarl, it was another local team) that used to give Robert Bell tires every week to time trial with so they'd get "stamped" and then they'd put those tires on their car when the feature rolled around (so they had better tires than everyone else as they only had time trials on them). My guess is that when you figure $200 per tire x both the LR and RR x however many nights of racing, that that added up to a ton (can you imagine an Outlaw team doing so to "circumvent the rules", that'd be $26,000 in EXTRA tires for a 65 night race season (and they were already probably spending $8-1200 per night (3 LR - 1 for TT, 1 for heat and dash, 1 for feature) and 2 RR (1 for TT, heat and dash, another 1 for feature) that would be a $52,000-$78,000 tire bill already not counting front tires).
All that small stuff adds up to a lot over the course of a season....

Soooo everyones posting opinions on who should drive this car..how about David Gravel for the Big Game car?!?!? Its time to give one of these young kids a chance to show what they could really do if they were given a chance with that kind of great equipment.

Just read on NSSN that the #7 team is "dissolved." Won't be anyone driving the invisible car.
|
The #7 team will be "dissolved". That is true.
But where does it say that the Eyecon/Big Game Tree Stand sponsered team will be dissolved?????
The #7 goes away, That is Dollansky's number and whatever number the new driver wants (Just like McCarl #24, Sammy #1 and Dollansky #7) he will get!!!!
So maybe the Stevie Smith #19 Eyecon team???
or the Lance Dewease #2d Eyecon Team????
95% sure it will not be either, but you get my point.

Not according to Shane Stewart. He said last night on the internet broadcast that he has a couple of options and has to make a very big decision in the very near future.

I would go with the option that would sign the longest contract with me/ even though contracts dont seem to mean much at least it shows commitment. Shane has earned this opportunity for sure.

Not saying it's a done deal or anything like that. I will say I'd be surprised if it didn't happen.

Shane drove the same car that tim kaeding is driving now. With one of the top crew chief in the sport. He had one win and was fired the first year. I for one would like to see david gravel in the car. If they bring it back out. How can you bring a car back out if the team is being dissolved?

First off, how did Sammy get draged into this convo? Isnt a Dollansky/Big Game thread?
Lets hear FACTS not your opinion! Wo cares about the he said/she said... it is about facts, plain and simple! Did Tod buy all controlling interest in the team or part of it? Fot what I know, he only owns 1/2 of it. Craig also owns the Semi and Hauler, and has his own race shop near his house.
Lets stick with the facts of whats going on, not a pissng contest between people. BTW, Jason meyers WONT be in the car for sure. He wants to be home with his wife and daughter, otherwise he would still be in the #14...

Jason Meyers would not be in the 14 due to the FACT that, that operation shut down. This is also why Stevie Smith is without a ride. Meyers has claimed that he prefers to stay around California, but he is racing the KKR 49 at the World Finals. I don't think you can ever count out a driver to run full time, Sammy was retired once too.

You are the biggesh whiner I have ever heard. Wasnt your last post ever about Schatz being a cry-baby? Now you come on here all puffed up trying to defend Craig? It's a message board bud, where facts are VERY far and few between. Apparently you are butt-hurt over your boy losing his ride. Deal with it as it is a part of the racing game rules. You come on here demanding facts when your last post some 3 months ago was about Donny being upset over the payoff at Lernerville along with some other things yet you never even came close to having the facts on that deal.
As far as people talking about the 7 car being dissolved. Did you ever consider that maybe the "7" car is being dissolved in order to create a "new" team. Dollansky brought the number 7 to Querring and Sammy brought the number 1. Maybe the driver of Todd's 2nd team will have their own number. Nothing was ever mentioned about the "team" dissolving was it?

Gravel has actually signed for next year or are we just assuming this since he is driving the car this weekend?

Unless they have fired their crewchief, signing a contract don't mean s#%t in that operation.just ask the previous 10 or so drivers that have been with that team in the last 2 years! Lmao
