I'm thinking the owner might want a championship with the circus group and that is something Craig will never be able to provide for him. I'm not a Sammy fan but if I had the $$$ I would want him in one of my cars. He knows the ropes when it comes to sprint car racing...and even if you hate the guy you have to admit he is one smart cookie.

I doubt very much that Sammy has spent less than McCarl did ,I for one would hate to see Sammy's engine bill every year, that team has been through a hell of a lot of motors, last year both Sammy & Craig went through 7 motors between them in Florida in only 3 races each a the WoO opener!!
|
I dont think you really want to see that bill. $70-$80k Each for the parker's from what a good source told me.

Wait a minute. I thought chevs were cheap.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The term you are looking for when quoting the cost of chevys compared to others is "less expensive"
The term "cheap" is reserved for describing the quality of Fords, which by the way are not less expensive.

Here`s a wild thought Steve Kinser in that ride that way Steve and Sammy could have a farewell tour side by side... man could you imagine that... let the fireworks begin. Sorry, it`s early and I have been up all night.

Good move by the owner, a few guys hit on it already. Dollansky will probably never win a championship nor has he really won any big races. He can hold his own on the Outlaw trail but just can never seem to get the job done. If Tod wants a championship or to win the big races Dollansky was not bringing that to the table. Like Sammy or not, Sammy can get it done. He's getting older but can still get it done and face it, sells t-shirts nicely. Sammy may seem like a dick and not the most friendly with fans but the fans he has are pretty hardcore. Dollansky has NO personality whatsoever; he's quite a boring person in my opinion.
Maybe he's gonna just run an outlaw schedule and not with the WoO, who knows? If that is the case maybe he'll stay a bit more local and run with a guy like Henderson who doesn't live that far away. I don't ge a vote in this as do none of us but Henderson would be pretty neat. Not that I think Henderson could gun for a championship but he had some great runs this year; like at the nationals.

According to IBRACN's Rumor, they plan on having a second car

I would love to see Jason Meyers or Shane Stewart in this car for the next WoO season.
I hope Dollansky in a good car somewhere. Wishful thinking on my part would want him to land a ride with the King of the West Series, but another woo ride or Knoxville is were he will most-likley run in 2014.
Still curious if Larson and Rico start a 2 car WoO team with Rico and ------------------to be the drivers in 2014.

Just speculating a bit, but Craig will likley have a ride probably with the WoO next season and more than likley already knows who he's driving for, just waiting to release it. Wouldn't surprise me if it's released during the World Finals like Motter did with Saldana last year.

With Larson's NASCAR contracts signed for the forseeable future and his spoken desire to put Shane Stewart in the car, I'd be surprised if that's the deal. I thought Jason Meyers retired? I know of a driver with 0 plans and about 70 WoO wins named Smith that could be a candidate too? Surprised he wasn't mentioned yet. Just glad to see the car is staying on tour, and even better if Craig found another ride on tour.

I was talking to a very reputable person within the sprint car world earlier this week and he stated, based on the information he has received, that it doesn't look good for Dollansky next year. I know things can change in the blink of an eye but at of now it seems Dollanksy won't be with the Outlaws fulltime next year as he's out of the Eyecon #7 and doesn't have a new ride yet.
