Nothing says "Outlaw" like not wanting to go fast. Shocking that the fanboys didn't mention a peep about Belleville being too fast for the Outlaws. We all know the fanboys would have sprinted here like Usain Bolt running 100 meters if the roles were reversed. LOL

Oh yeah because every 410 series wants to run there. Name one?

We are a little bit past the era of having to be an idiot and risk your life to have value and purpose in life. Most people today have their testosterone under control.

What's Aaron Ruetzel been up to these days? He seems to be under control. 

Not the first time, or last time the Outlaws or any other 410 series for that matter, refused to race a track they felt was too dangerous.  Good for them.  Based on just about everything I've read or heard, 410 winged cars should not be on that track unless we are trying to get someone killed.  

I was at an IRA race years ago after the track had received about 2 inches of rain overnight.  The IRA and the drivers took one look at the racing surface and the catch fence and said "we're not running this."  We'll be on the road.  And they didn't.  

Winged 410's should not be at Belleville or Bristol.  And from what I've gathered, many drivers said "no more" to Bristol because they were afraid someone was going to get killed.  Assuming the same here?

They could have just made it show up points for the race. Those that didn't want to drive really fast wouldn't have to. You could still have a night where every single race is won off the front row and everyone gets the same points. ;)

If racers don't feel safe, their opinion should matter. The fact that this popped up out of the blue suggests that there's more to the story.

Ive never been there only seen videos of when the outlaws were there. Is it really any faster than a juiced up volusia or eldora? And whats the terrain like outside the track? If its just grass im not opposed to leaving the track instead of crashing in front of 130 mph missiles. Very odd to cancel 1 week before after knowing it was on the schedule for nearly a year.

Not sure has it been on the schedule since PRI . Someone booked it and  probably  took a down payment ,Now its a issue 

I'm going to assume this didn't pop up out of the blue and there is definitely more to this story.  If the Outlaws or HL tried to run a show and no one else showed up, they would each have a car count in the mid-teens.  If the top Outlaw teams voiced concerns about this, what do you think the non-outlaw drivers were thinking?  I'm assuming no one else was coming either, so there's no show.  

All speculation but probably some pretty negative backlash from the drivers for a long time and no one else was going to come.  I don't blame em.  

The way it sounds, yes.  It sounds like the sustained speeds are what makes it much "less pleasurable" to race than Eldora or Volusia.  

And it wouldn't be odd for them to cancel this late if the "field filler" cars were not coming to junk their cars at high speeds.  

If it was scheduled and catch fence is an issue, is it possible that it was schedule under the condition that changes would be made and they were not?

Would you have the balls to drive one of those nasty beasts in competition?

I doubt if I would  drive one full speed on an empty track...

& I'm not a  WoO "fanboy" by any means. I like both franchises with a slight preference for HL....

The date is open now in case whatever sanction you are refering to can move in and book a race there.  I'm sure that they would love to demonstrate their "big balls" and meet their demise for your entertainment pleasure.

Crazy fast speeds never make for good racing in sprints. If I want to see lightning fast I hit the drag races.

This whole situation is really a trickle down fallout effect from the Cali Amigos fracturing the sport and these 2 santioning bodies scrambling for venues, some being more questionable than others. It was one of David Gravel's concerns from the outset, and has come true.
