Funny how the keyboard badasses who have only driven 75mph on a freeway, in a vehicle with belts and airbags, blow off the mouth. They are probably the same candy asses that drive 10mph when there's a little snow on the road.

A promoter type guy made a video from Belleview stating that the track and Wrg and SLS etc etc are all on the same page and there are no hard feelings between those involved. He admits it's a sucky deal and tickets will be refunded. He never said what the reason was but he is trying to go public to be transparent. I saw it on Factbook.

A girl won a Usac silver crown race there in 2024.

Take the cages off the cars and see who really wants to race for the glory of the sport, I bet there's a few modern day drivers with the sand just not many..Back in the day real racers literally gave their lives for the glory of racing be it in cars or motorcycles, that's what got me intersested in racing. Brave dudes giving it their all, not thinking about anything but passing the cars in front of you and getting to the front......and then lapping the bastards.lol.

 I can understand Belleville not drawing cars or fans just due to the geographical location and no field fillers, dumb scheduling decision. I did attend the inaugural Bristol race and it was freakin cool, there were some real racers out there putting on a show, no fear. I think today's whiney society should rule out all tracks over three eighths of a mile to make everyone feel safe and secure. What's the point in the cars going faster if it's more dangerous? The owners want the fastest cars so isn't that potentially dangerous to their drivers, do the drivers care?  I think the fans care more about the driver safety than the drivers themselves, keep the vaginosis on the sidelines where it belongs ladies.

I've attended one sprint car race where a driver got killed. I don't ever want to do that again. If a driver doesn't want to race at a certain track, I'm OK with that. He or she knows better than I do what the risks verses rewards are. If a group of racers don't want to race at a track but are feeling compelled to because of pressures from contracts, points funds, etc. I'm ok with them collectively doing what's in their best interests.

I'm not sure I can agree that there's a need for 2 sanctioning bodies to be "scrambling for venues". True, there are some tracks that have allied themselves with one sanction or the other, but there are a lot of tracks out there. 

Well said.  I've attended 2.  The second one was Jason Johnson.  I circle back to the track having no catch fence on the backstretch prior to the crash, and then having a catch fence after his fatal crash.  That's at least one life too late to make that improvment.  (I was not there for the fatal crash of Scott Semmelmann, so I'm not sure if no catch fence contributed to that or not---I know the top of the wall did)

And to respond to whoever made the comment about Crouch's damage at Knoxville--I don't think anyone has any real concerns about addtional measures Knoxville could take to improve safety at their track.  Racing is dangerous enough, and tracks can only do so much---contrary to popular belief they aren't closing tracks up because they've become too rich.  If Belleville doesn't have the cash to add the fencing 410 racers want, then just keep them off the schedule.  If other classes or series are comfortable racing there, so be it.  If they're not, give them some respect.  They all watched a helicopter land at Beaver Dam back in 2018.  They should have their voices heard.

I have been fortunate attending Sprint Car races since 1960 and never seeing a fatality.  That wasn't the case back when I was launching planes off a carrier.  When stuff like that happens a person never forgets it.  I don't want to see that outcome as part of my entertainment.
