Oh man did they have jewelers rouge back then. That and a high speed buffer will get you a mirror finish now days on aluminum.

Al Leibl had the job of buffing. He says the buffer gets real heavy after an hour! LOL

This is an earlier Douglas super. Jerry told me his narrowed down body actually showed up at Lawton right before the Amarillo narrow bodies did. Seems there were so many of the Amarillo style, that those were the first anybody remembered.
