Meyers got screwed....since when do officials throw a caution to penalize a driver for improving a position during a race? Just as Meyers took the lead. WTF?

3. S. Kinser

Did the Outlaw officials watch the fiasco yesterday at Indy and feel that they needed a "competition yellow" too?

maybe he was interfering with the 15 car?

we all know that when this happens, new rules are implemented on the spot.

4.9 RACING

a) Any car racing through the infield, or off the intended racing surface, in order to better its racing position, will be yellow flagged and shall restart at the rear of the field.   now, how was this implemented tonight? was the 7s sent to the rear? just who was the 7s passing when he supposedly was off the racing surface?

Hmm...looking at MyLaps shows the 7S running behind the 15 on laps 25 and 26, then down 2 positions after the penalty on lap 27. Johnny Gibson also said he would be penalized 2 positions. So it looks like they were either going by another rule or making them up as they go along.

Sides had a good run going. He started in 7th, fell as low as 13th before working his way back forward. Was up to 7th when he got the penalty knocking him back to 9th. But came on in the last 8 laps to pass the 5C, the 24 and the 15 to get back up to finish 6th.

kind of makes a good argument that they were watching for any reason to protect the 15. now, i would like to know just how blatent the 7s was in cutting the track to pass the 15. i mean, did he just run it through the infield, or did he get his left side tires out of bounds or what? meyers makes a pass that gains him one points paying position and schatz looses one points paying position all on the same lap and WHAM out comes this almost never called foul. i mean how often have we seen guys race through the infield to pass. last year at the gold cup haud drove off the back chute and did not come back on the track till almost going around turn 3, passing sammy in the process. he was definatly not on the racing surface, yet no foul. lol. now all this stuff i said could not be so sinister as i present it, but it sure does not look good, and just makes fodder for just the things i am saying. so if chicofan is correct, i am going to say someone was watching over donny and meyers just got caught up in it. did donny run the 7s into the infield as he was going by? we all know from the royal the 15 is good at using the rulebook to his favor and the offials are only too happy to be accessories. now let the newkings peasants spout their dribble. lol.

That was a bullcrap call. Meyers just blows by Dollansky and is moving fast with Johnny Gibson quoted as saying he was "the fastest car on the track". Then all of a sudden a rule that should be used weekly and never IS mind you, is pulled out as the reason to revert back the running order and caution plague the race. THAT WAS NASCRAP bullshit! When does WoO ever bring out a f_ing caution because a driver is "running too low on the track"??? That cost Meyers a well deserved victory and it is becoming all too clear that WoO is paying back their loyal flock from the defection back in 2006. PURE BS.
Cheers!

When have they flagged an Outlaw driver just like Jason Sides for running too low this past year?? When?? Meyers makes a critical points gaining pass to get first from Dollansky and looks to gain on Shatz and Dethroner then a competition yellow...LOL WTF??? Bullpoopy.
Cheers!

PS Read the press release and you might have a better view of things than the race call on the internet unless of course you;re a conspiracy theorist or a cry-baby who's locals have no chance......

Read the press.....are you serious? They spin that stuff worse than CNN! How 'bout think for yourself! At least I've supported your beloved WoO this year, how 'bout you?

“It was an unfair call by the officials,” said Meyers. “I’m not sure why they called it. I have never seen a call like that before. We had the car to win the race tonight.”

Maybe they were just trying to get Meyers ready for his beloved Nascar career, no running below the yellow line.

Yes, Meyers would love to move up to Nascar if given the chance and yes he was one of the defectors to the NST. Where would the WOO be today if those drivers had not come back, if you remember right the majority left. The precious few that stayed are indeed favoured by the Outlaw officials. It is blatantly shown quite often. Sad that they don't quite favor Saldana as much as Schatz and Dollansky. He too, has a nascar sponsor which is certainly why Schatz gets his way on most everything. Funny that it all went down the way it did last nite at Paducah. Dollansky loses lead, Schatz is in trouble back in the pack and the closest driver to them in points gets screwed! Come on people don't you just want to see good racing no matter who the driver is? I myself, go to see racing not favouritism. Who knows, Dollansky may have passed Meyers back, but sadly we were not allowed to see that great battle. The outlaws do little to no tech, call bad call after bad call, (oh but they say they're sorry afterwards!) all so their favourite little pet can be champion again. If he deserves it give it to him but if it is won by cheating and official favouritism, is that something to be proud of? And by the way MSPN what ignorant ship did you float in on? That was two years ago and the World of Outlaws would be nothing if these drivers had not come back!!!

OK, let's see...

Last week, lots of folks were ticked at Schatz and the WoO after the Eldora deal; this week it appears that the WoO officials are getting the blast.....Just no keepin' some folks happy.....

They were happy to see the WoO/NST split, and then, when the NST boys came back to the WoO, expect all to be forgiven by the WoO? Prove to me that the WoO is playing favorites...

Let me ask another question from the opposite perspective - where would Meyers, SK, KK, and the others who went to the NST race if the WoO did not exist or allow them to return? They're still racing for 10K to win and getting to do it over 80 times a year. And they've probably made it financially less likely for some of the less funded teams to stay on the WoO tour...but that's OK, since that is how it should be..... the strong survive.....

If it weren't for the WoO and its promoters, there wouldn't be very many 10K to win races, and then the 15 or so travelers would have to cherry-pick at their local venue, for less to win. Can you say bye-bye sponsors?

There are two sides to the sword, in my opinion. You want to see large paying races, you race with the WoO or you take on the WoO. There might not be a Steve K without the WoO, just as there might not be a WoO without SK.

And we all know how successful SK has been trying that.....twice......and SK probably received more than his share of the calls in previous times.

Keep in mind, anytime that you have human beings making a call, there will be judgment involved... and your opinion may differ from the call that was made....but that does not make it a wrong call....

Would Uncle Ted have let it slide until either the next yellow or if the race went the distance, would have been dealt with post-race...

Me thinks so.

Glad to see the World Of Schatz's is doing it's part to keep the racing real balanced these day's :) Got to love the calls their making. Makes me scratch my head sometimes. And yes Saldana doesn't get the same treatment as well. Remember how upset he was alot last year with the officials calls and not just towards him, but other drivers as well. It effects all the racers in the end........except Schatz and Dollansky i'm guessing. Just one person's opinion here.

hey this is sprints wife just so he doesnt get the flack for this...lol...i read these posts all the time and you people crack me up.....i certainly never hear much from a racers view point..which i can tell you will differ greatly from those whose just sit and watch...but i think some of you have watched too much napcar...this is sprint racing people...give me a break...we dont need more rules or only enforced when they feel like it rules..next thing you all will want is a big red truck to report too ...for everyone who likes rules and regulations and run around bullshit,..napcar runs every sunday...i wasnt at this race but i am at a whole lot of races and have been for many years and i can honestly say i have never seen or heard of such a thing...so maybe woo officials are trying to get jobs at napcar...as far as the racers who left ...i am sure they had their reasons..and since i dont pay their bills i wont tell them how to live or where to race....or when to be upset..the world looks a whole lot different from their side....lighten up people the nationals are here!!!!!

The NST defectors should be thrilled they have a place to race right now and be happy that the guy that dominated them with wins that year is back in CA. All the experts that weren't there need to whine where it counts, to your wife, she doesn't care either, heh heh. I absolutely can't believe how many clowns cry when they're guy doesn't win or the guy that does, cheated in some way. My God have you ALL turned into Posse fans? Sorry, but that's the ultimate insult, no more calls please, it's over, lol. Take It Easy....

He'll be out there in the midwest Thursday..........racing wing and non-wing racing like a TRUE OUTLAW use too! Should be a great week of racing with TK, Allard and T-Dub out there mixing it up with the WoO, Posse, and Midwest guy's. You guy's are in for a treat especially after seeing how TK and T-Dub raced each other at Chico this last weekend. Damn i wish i could make it this year, but i have to pick and choose my battles........and those battles are USAC race at Calistoga and then Gold Cup right after that. Have fun folks.
