Seems that they are to busy with a "dream race" to update their own site.

Funny.

I'm told the schedule (25 dates) should be released this week. Things are a bit behind as we have been "planning our dream race" as Mr. Witte stated. Actually, Robert Cortum is going to be doing some updates and press releases for the Midwest series since I only handle the ASCoC stuff and coordinate the MASS stuff. We're trying to get more information out there in 2008 for the Midwest group. Looks like a good schedule for '08 and possibly a few more full time drivers.

Hopefully most of the mass races will be in IN & a few in OH. The IL races were'nt very good last year.

I believe that will be where most of the races are held. Most Mo. and Il. tracks will not have another one.I personnally will not attend any mess races.

If i were a betting man i'd bet mess will run a race as close to farmington as they can when farmington runs their queens royal.

Did you guys just sign up just to slam the Midwest All Stars on your first posts? I just love that. At least you took the time to go out of your way to make a new account to come on here and post a negative comment. At least you were thinking of us. I'm sorry you had trouble with your grammar and the only thing that was a "mess" was your spelling. I'm sorry we won't see you this summer when MASS comes to race in your back yard.

The schedule will be released shortly.

I heard that Guy was going to rent the farm land across the road from the track, till it up, put up temporary stands and schedule a mass race against every regular show at farmington. Thats not the best part though. Every night before the a main he's going to cancel the race, not refund the tickets and charge the people to leave the parking lot. The reason that I know this is true is because a photographer that used to live in canada, moved to pennsylvania, had a secret love affair with a posse fan then was forced to move back to canada in shame because his viagra could no longer get the job done, told me that Guy Webb and the entire allstar organization were secretly plotting the demise of sprint car racing on the north american continent. After they have destroyed it in north america they are planning on invading New Zealand and Australia with the same evil plot. Infact, I was told that Guy has shaved his head, started wearing grey uniform style of clothing and started calling Swamp "mini-me" and CoachBob "number 2".

There is more but you get the picture.

I took a look at that schedule. It seems that the 9-20 race at west plains is on their schedule as a ASCS event.

Just wonder where all this info comes from.......

ASCS has a National Series event on their schedule at TriCity in Pontoon Beach (Granite City) IL on Friday 9-19, but no race scheduled for 9-20. It would have made way too much sense for the Texas and OK drivers to have a race scheduled the next night in Missouri. Maybe MASS is hoping some of the ASCS drivers will run with them at West Plains. I do not know if ASCS has a time and distance rule like the WOO.

Being someone who has historically attended the Farmington shows most every weekend I did hate to see Farmington loose cars to the MASS series. However it was nice to have the option to travel and see sprints on some of the other local tracks that you never get to see sprints on. Farmington has some really good shows but less face it, the same show every weekend does wear a little thin. Farmington has been around a long time and managed to make it through many changes. I am sure the loss of cars is very temporary. Drivers will move up and more drivers will come back once the word gets out that most of the power house teams like Hull, Standridge, Bruns, Hurley and the Montgomerys are not going to be there every night beating up on them. With the exception of Worley (assuming he staty) it will open up spots for new cars to run up front. Given a little time they will get their noraml car count back. It will just be made up of differant faces. Looking at the list of tracks I think given time it has to help 410 sprint racing in the area. It is certainly exposing more fans. As well giving the guys more options and places to race can't be bad. If you only have one track as an option in an area it pretty much limits the number of cars that track can support.

Very well put! I can't see how expanding 410 racing in the Midwest is a bad thing, but I do understand the concerns of the Farmington fans. Let's look at another example - the main All Star series steals plenty of great teams away from Fremont and Attica's weekly programs. It has been that way since the series was started. Those two tracks remain powerhouses in 410 sprint car racing in Ohio. The exposure gained by the drivers racing at other venues and running in conjunction with the Outlaws has brought publicity to the tracks where they cut their teeth. I'll be honest - being as big of a 410 fan as I am, I had never heard of some of these Midwest guys before the inception of the Midwest All Stars. Now I'm wanting to go see them race. I don't make it out that way often, but now I will make it a point to do so. Not because I have to, but because I want to!

I was just hoping most of the shows were in the IN & OH area. The races at Mt. Vernon, IL were not good compared to the IN shows I attended. If that's being negative and knocking your series, oh well. I've read your posts for a while and believe me they aren't all positive either, sometimes you deserve the abuse you get. I am just a fan that enjoys watching a good race no matter where it's at, fans are what your series is looking for isn't it? I said nothing bad about your series or you, so leave me out of YOUR negative posts. BTW how is my grammar? The arrogance on this forum is unbelievable.

I was mainly referring to "the other guy" and his negative post, but yours had a negative tone as well. We all have some negative posts from time to time - and yes I am guilty of it, too. I'm just tired of reading all the bitching and complaining that goes on anymore and not very many people make an effort to help out or make changes for the better. Some do - and that's great. But there are guys who just slam on everything for their own entertainment and enjoyment and they know who they are. If I lumped you into that category, I apologize. But your post sounded like it was directed in a negative way I guess. Or maybe it was just the combination of that with the two posts that followed yours. Anyway...you get the picture. I hope you get to see some better racing in 2008.
