And Greg you are correct, alot of us didn't know about the quality of modifieds - much less USMTS and I get the chance to assist in announcing some of their races and catch as many as I can, all because of the Xtreme. Sprint cars are my passion but I am not narrow minded to think there isn't good racing in other divisions. I use to turn my back on modifieds back in the 90's when I would go to NCRA outlaw sprint shows and the modifieds were the support divison. I never liked the led-sleds (late models) but they rank right up there as well.
As what their names sang, "Don't know what you got 'til it's gone," applies so I am in hopes that people will support and help the tracks that do exsist now and not bash away over every little cotton-pickin thing.

People (to a point) have a right to bitch, moan and complain just as you have the chance to ignore reading the posts and move on. Don't like it, don't read it. Me? I have to read all of what I can to keep class in order.
Do I like reading about the closing every day? Not really but this gives people their chance to bitch and reflect And until somebody buys out tidbits from me, it will continue to be a place for just that. Has been for 12 years and will continue to be.
I think what alot of people are pissin about now is this grand prix crap. They couldn't take care of history so now they try to pasify the race fans thinking we will support street racing. More nays than yay's I would bet.
And I am sorry, but NASCRAP is so yesterday that it would never succeed here.

How do I know if I like it until I read it? hmmmm?
Ive been on Tidbits for a long time, but the truth is, it doesn't promote racing in a possitive way 80% of the time. Not your fault nor your intention David. All racing message boards are more bad than good for a race track promoter. It is not meant as an attack on you or this board, but it is true. Ask any promoter.
My point is... support these tracks or they will go away. Sit on these bitching boards all day and there will be no racing in the OKC area. How would you feel about the Bricktown race if Shane Carson was promoting it? Most would love it. Dont confuse personal dislike of an individual (mayor or Promoter), for dislike of a motorsport event or facility they are wanting to promote.
Possitive messages breed possitive results.

I agree with you in this post.

How do you watch a downtown street race in person? Do you just stand on a sidewalk and watch a guy come around every 30-40 seconds. Don't you only see a small window of the course at one time? Is that fun?
Sorry I dont go to I-44 and Meeker and I'm killing racing in this state.
