So Enid isn't even going to schedule a NCRA event for the 2009 season? Thats disappointing.

Not the Oklahoma modifieds or sport mods anyway. But that is what I was told. You never know it could change. But it dont really look like it. Why is Enid the only track that is being talked about not running a show? There is ALOT more tracks in Oklahoma thats not running them! How many are, 2 in the sport mod class and 3 in the modifieds?

A track is crazy for not taking a NCRA sportmod event .Look at your normal payout then look at NCRA payout and look at the cars you would gain you can`t not make money on this.

I'm not digging on Enid, but I thought that the talk last year was that there would be a couple stops in Enid. Enid has a heck of a Limited Mod crowd and I think it would be a lot of fun. I can't comment on other tracks to much cause I'm not there every week, but from my understanding of other things, it sounds like Enid is one of the bigger Limited Mod tracks. Thats why I think there is so much fuss about Enid not scheduling at least one event. I wish more tracks in OK would get on board and make this a heck of an inagural year. I know I'm going to hit all the ones that I can.

#85 Limited Mod!! THAT JUST HAPPENED!!!

Rumer is that Enid doesnt have a promoter next year, that Longpine and colville are backing out. Is there any truth to that? And why is it that if Enid is hurting on car count so bad they dont bring in the NCRA boyz for atleast 1 race. I also agree the should try to get the USMTS boyz back for a run. They put one hell of a show last time.

They are probably waiting to see how big of a turn out Elk City gets for the first race. I could see the reasoning behind that but to me the Elk City track has stepped up in wanting the first race.

I've never been down there but I've heard nothing but good things about how they promote their track.

Is it true they where paying pull money to out of towner's last year? Something like a free pit pass and gas allowance?

The purse for these races could be raised easily if the promoter is interested.

After the car count last year you would think theyd  try to work with  drivers and  fans not run em off.  Higher prices and lower pay?  That's a great way to get cars.

I have said this so many times Enid is open this year with the same promoters and are not backing out. Shoot I have the car show already set up and the big mod and sport mod show and the rest of the season set up. We are just having trouble putting it on the website and we are working on that. SO ONCE AGAIN ENID IS OPEN THIS YEAR. I know or I would not be out there getting sponsers. Rumors are just that RUMORS! If you ask me the ones who are not running in the ncra thing probably are loving it. They get to stay home and race keep there points and gain on the others. JMOP!

as of 01/28/2009 no one had sign a contract for Enid Motor Speedway. Longpine is the only one who want's it, but has not sign. I think maybe thats why he hasn't scheduled a date with ncra yet, he doesn't have the track.

Since you know everthing, whats going to be the winning lottery numbers? The fairboard has the contract signed by Longpine. Why in the world would we set a car show and playday? I guess we will see in March who knows what there talking about. LOL! I just have one more thing to say if Longpine and Lonnie dont have the track why would they of paid David of this site oklahomatidbits to keep there ad on the main page? Things that make you go HUM!!!!

Well I can say Lonnie & James have full time jobs and to tell you the truth they probably dont get on here to much. Alot of the time I can say I dont blame them. I might would like to run it one day. I use to race and got hurt not do to racing. But them two and my friend Johnie has taught me alot. You never know what the future holds.

Well, Im quite dissappointed about the pit passes going up but I also understand economics. I know that other places charge that at big shows but have never seen without a awesome payout.

I cant believe that Enid didnt get on the NCRA sportmod wagon, for that class carries ENID SPEEDWAY and the car count would be awesome.

It is what it is and we will see how it all plays out. There really is no reason to run for a points championship at Enid, it pays the same as the guy who finishes in 10th place in points!!!!

Enid has one of the best tracks in the state and if all goes the right way, they(the promoters) could reap the many benefits of this track.

Im sure we will be there for a few races but I know that we will be running the NCRA shows and any other place that is having a big show, at least that is our goal.

GOOD LUCK to everyone and see you at the races....
