Any substantial difference in the production quality of the two offerings?

Small minds find small things to complain about...  He asked which one.. I said get both...  You think he should get one, say so.., don't conjure up some make believe reason to take exception. I don't think anyone said you had to do anything different...

My post was all about the humor of those who declare themselves to be "true race fans".  Apparently humor isn't one of your strong points.

I get both, but if I had to choose just one, it would be FLO.

I would only take DV for the Nationals if I had too.

You get much more bang for your buck with FLO.

25 different sporting events.

Dirtvision is twice the cost and is limited to sprint cars.

What would be awesome is if DV & Flo & MAVTv would strike up a deal with DirectTv and you would get all 3 Channels for 1 price.

I would think they would get a ton more Subscribers just for the fact that it is easy accessability, easier to navigate through the Menu, Able to Record.. ect....

There has got to be a sh*t ton of people that actually like watching Sprint Car Racing but are not into it religious enough to Stream it through Flo or DV., But if it were an extra $10 or $15 a Month to add to their existing Cable Package maybe a lot more would go for it.  Personally I do not get either on a Yearly subscription because my Internet is borderline being good enough to handle the live Streaming.

I've subscribed to various Racing PPV offerings for about 5 years.   I have settled on this arrangement:

- Flo Racing annual subscription.
- DirtVision for 56 days in July and August
- TV Antenna on the house to help with Sunday afternoon naps.

True Outlaw !!    For about 200 bucks.

I think DirtVision has the best content but so much of it is on Friday night, Saturday night, or from 10 PM - 2 AM Eastern time.     Flo is better on a night to night basis and has live content when I'm not already at a local race.     For example tonight and tomorrow night flo has ASCOC races.

You do realize that cable TV has lost a large part of its market share to streaming, don't you?  A lot of people cut the cable when streaming became available and haven't had satellite for years now.  Not only would it force people to go back to satellite but Dish is one of several satellite companies.  That would still limit the number of potential subscribers.

I like FLO, haven't had Dirtvision for a long time.

Why I like FLO, chilli bowl, Gateway big late model shows at Eldora (who knew I liked dirt late models), flo late model series (mid week shows), love usac racing and the all stars are great too.

When does Dirtvision post replays for free after the event ?, they have there whole catalog from last season  (they include qual, heats and mains for free if u just sign up (no money).

For me, I never have enuf time to watch everything that FLO has frown  I just watch mains or recaps)

The production value for the big races on FLO, is second to none, better than fox or nbc for cup.  Split screens many times, how many times do u get pissed when the leader has huge lead, but a great battle for 2nd to 4th is missed at the finish.  Not with FLO for there races at Eldora

FLO has so many other great things with prerace interivews, shop talks, etc.

They recently have shown Lucas Late Model highlight, basically the whole main.

(I do watch the twitter replays of outlaws races, I love watching the 6 minute recaps.

If u love WOO sprint cars and Late Models, and their big shows, go Dirtvision.  If u love a bit of everything, including pavement shows, big block modifies, late model, dirt late model, wing, non wing, midgets, silver crown, itc  FLO is the choice

Living in Socal and going to WOO SHOWS is QUITE expensive with ticket prices $40 to $65 a piece, parking, gas, travel, etc

For $299  no brainer if I want to watch WOO, NOTHING beats going to the race, but ... the long drives home, the cost, many times the race is average, etc.  FLO and Dirtvison are a great bargain (if u can afford it).  I figure if u can afford gling to big sprint car races, u can afford (both ?).  If u can not afford going to races or FLO, twitter and FB offers great recaps.

Cheers

I disagree. There are more people that have the internet than DirectTV. If you're going to watch sprint car racing I don't think you're going to stumble across a race on Dish or Direct TV and decide to watch it. I could be wrong. Those people watch the highlights on youtbe or facebook.

I've subscribed to DirtVision during the summer, and thought the broadcast was not as good as FLO, however they may have improved since then.

My coworkers have subscribed to both FLO and Dirt, who are into sprints, mods, late models, and they all say FLO's broadcast is better. FLO is also adding a key addition to their team, that everyone knows, which should make things even better.

I guess since I live in the upper midwest and attend winged racing events, I'd go with FLO b/c I don't get to see much non wing action in these parts, if at all this year.

Neither the Knoxville Nationals or the 360 Nationals are included in monthly subscriptions with dirtvision this year, only annual subscribers will get that content, just a heads up.

It's interesting you say that, because for my experience, Dirtvision looks better on my TV than Flo. I've heard similar things from people about Flo looking better than DV but I find the broadcast quality to be better on DV. Clearer, mor vivid colors etc...

Maybe it's the app or it's better on Apple TV or something.

I like to watch sprint car racing. Live would be my preference, however here in Texas, that's just not happening on a regular basis.

I subscribe to both DV and Flo. They both need to get their shit together when it comes to following the race action that the annoucer is calling. Nothing worse than listening to the announcer going ape shit crazy about race action taking place, borderline screaming and all along, the cameraman is following just the opposite. Both have had me screaming at the cameraman.

Regardless, it's still better than nothing or following on Race Monitor.

I just do dirtvision. Where I live I go to a good amount of All Star races throughout the year. While Flo does have the All Stars & USAC & some other forms, I like keeping up with the Outlaws, Attica, Knoxville, and some of the Late Model stuff.

Just reading through this and seeing lots of people saying Dirtvision is better production quality or FLO has the best quality, etc. What are the differences that people are seeing between the two that makes one better over the other in terms of quality?

Those events were not included last year either..You had to purchase separately each bundle of 4 day events..

Flo has alot of content so some broadcasts are better than others. But I think in my experience DV has better picture for the most part. They also have the drone alot which gives a great angle we never otherwise see.

Or you're just a cranky old guy who likes to complain about everything and probably wouldn't have ordered it anyway.

Here's a link on here if that meets your specifications.... https://www.dirtvision.com/
