Why would they? It's not a WoO show.

It will probably depend on who is running where.

If there are 3 laps to go, I think it helps the 3rd and 4th place car.

Ohh wow! Can you imagine a green-white-checkered double file restart for $150,000!?!?! Someone will certainly end up in the fence!

I thought 1 and 2 got to start in front of them.

After 49 Nationals I guess I am not to old to learn something

But 5 and 6 are out of luck right

Once agian I have never seen a double file restart here.

I havent been able to actually watch many races this season, but it does seem it has made the racing more exciting. I would think a 2 lap shootout for the win on saturday night with a double file restart would be about as exciting as it can get.

And people are wondering why all forms of racing are struggling. Fans want to see exciting racing . Not a high speed follow the lead race. I hope they have double file restarts. Why would you not want to see that ?? Just me 2 cents worth.

You are exactly right. Many forms of racing are struggling. The main reason why, is diehard fans have a hard time accepting change. The only way any form of racing will survive is attracting new fans or the casual fan to their races. Not enough die hards to go around. You will not get a casual fan back to a follow the leader race if it is boring. And like it or not, casual fans fill the stands and help pay the bills. Accepting some change is the first step in fixing some of the attendance problems most forms of racing have had. that and a lot of patience.

We need advise from you

Work real hard to get a good lead and them let them start beside you sounds fair to me

The biggest race anywhere and you think we should change it. LOL

Once again, everyone needs to be reminded, this is about the fans and the fans only! I could care less how much of a lead someone gets. if they are that fast, they can retake the lead going into corner 1. Bottom line, if sprint car racing wants to expand its fan base, changes like this are going to need to be made. This isnt about fairness to the driver leading the race. its about putting butts in the seats. I know a quite a few people that stopped going to the nationals because it was getting stale. (not my opinion, but theirs) They are going to have to pull out all of the stops to get people back in the seats.

How about giving the leader the front row by himself. Ive seen it before (late models) and it worked well.
