If this keeps up, it's not even going to be close. Can anyone remember the last time someone had a 145 point lead in mid April? The guy is the best in the country right now. Congrats to a guy that has more than paid his dues...a real racer too good for NASCAR.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I remember someone starting a thread last year titled something like "if you won the lottery and started a sprint car team, who would you hire as a driver?" I remember Pittman being mentioned non-stop. Why did he sit on the sidelines so long before someone put him in a seat? I can name at least a dozen drivers since he has not had a full time ride that I would have replaced with him. Happy to see him dominating right now.

I wonder if it has anything to do with learning how to really race in Posse country where you actually have to pass cars to advance your positions most every night?
Does Jason Johnson ring a bell also. He was twice the driver he is now when he left Posse country then he was when he arrived..
Chesson brothers are another example in reverse. They could thrive on the WOO circuit but would struggle to qualify in Posse country..

Yep, and don't forget Cody Darrah and Lucas Wolfe leaving the Posse to dominate the WoO......
Pittman won the Gold Cup, Kings Royal, Historical Big One and around 25 other WoO races before he went to PA.

Posse.... Posse... Posse.... So sick of hearing about posse drivers. It actually makes me root against them just so I dont have to hear about them.

I still of the belief that Mr. Pittman won that ride with his performance @ Hagerstown last May in front of his current boss...
Opinions may vary...

Mister411, I think the comment by dsc1600 was tongue-in-cheek!

What's scary for other Outlaw teams, the schedule is now starting to head back east. He has a nice lead now, and going towards tracks he's been racing at more recently. PA could help stretch that lead some more.

Pitman has a nice lead but watch out for that #15. He always catches fire in July/August months of money. I'am NOT a Schatz fan but he is good and can never be counted out of the running anytime until the last day...

Exactly what I was thinking. Its a long season. After World Challenge win at Knoxville last summer, it was clear Donny was on the move, Saturday he proved it.

Pittman is running real strong right NOW. Not discrediting him at all, but I'll wait and see what happens when they hit Summer and start running dry slick tracks night in and night out. I hate Schatz but that dude will come on once again and be the guy to beat unfortunately.
do it in the dirt

I said from the first race at Volusia he would be your outlaw champion. If he can make it through money month, he has no problem

Pittman definitely looking great. But it's only 16 races through 90. Four awful nights could eliminate his lead. It's ironman consistency that wins this championship.... just look at how few races Schatz finished at the back of last year, the real key to his win.
