It never gets old looking at these beautiful roadsters from the 1950's and 1960's! I wish I could have been at Indy during that time to see them run!

What can I say, but this day of the Lloyd Ruby Overpass Dedication was very, very special.. To get to visit with all those legends and watch them start the roadsters so they could run them in downtown Wichita Falls. It was just great to watch them use the starters and hear hear those Offienhausers fire up and hear the sound they made when they ran downtown, I will never forget this day.

Meanwhile, a group of Legends were at another table
Thinking ya know, we oughta do this more often.

This photo is great. It was also an added event on the Lloyd Ruby Overpass Dedication Day to have some of our local legends to have a table set up along side of the Indy legends to visit with us and relive the golden years. From left to right front row. Donnie Phelan who was our leader and established our annual Racers Reunion in Wichita Falls, next is Ralph Parkinson and Freddie Street. Back row, James Skinner, Steve Young who is responsible in also creating our Racers Reunion, next is Jerry Douglas and last but not least is Eugene Hair. Lots and lots of history here. What a great day this was. We are now in our sixth year of having our annual Texhoma Racers Reunion.
