Just think of all the photos out there where a trophy girl etc are in a photo. But no credit is given to the person.

I thought this might be a challenge for viewers. Name the little girl with the cast. She might love to have this photo in her family collection. This is from Danley Clow on FaceBook. I thought lets give it a try on the forum here. Winter is almost here and a lot of reading goes on on these cold nights.

From Danley Clow:

Nick Purkey is shown here signing a little girl's arm cast. Anyone have any idea who this little girl is in this photo ???
She would probably like to see this if you know who she is as she would be around 47 or 48 by now.
Let's see who can name her and or locate her.
Purkey was from Tahlequah, OK.

It was mention on FaceBook by Rick Eslick that this driver might Ron Pattison.

Search Danley Clow on FaceBook. He has several photos everyone should take a look at.

I had a postal worker tell me a few years ago from Topeka the only reason (Jokingly) he went to the Topeka Fairgounds Races was because of Luther Brewers daughter. We all played together while the races went on.

Warren,

I remember growing up at the race track that many race people had a pretty daughter,

or two. Once I hit puberty, I started to notice them more closely, and always enjoyed

seeing them at the different races, as much as my favorite cars and drivers.

Did you know that Luther Brewer was the Head Post Master in Olatha for several years ...I was around them 2 daughters of his when my dad raced for him,, there names are Brenda the youngest she still lives in the KC area..and Diana the oldest she lives in Arkansas ..,,very nice ladys both of them....I rode Tricycles and Bikes with them when we went to Luthers house in Drexel Mo when Dad was driving for him...

Luthers cars were always #97 and back in the old days his phone number was 97 and also his PO Box was 97....I sure do miss talking with Luther he was a great friend ...The car he built to start the 1966 year the T Coupe was JOHN DEERE RED..John Deere had a RED as well as a GREEN..

Win as if you are use to it.And lose as if you enjoyed
it for a change. Its hard to get to the top and alot
harder to stay there.

Tim I did not know Luther nearly as long as you but we e-mailed a lot after we got acquainted and I save all of them and read them occasionally. He was very Sharpe and could build anything.

Anybody could pick Luthers Brain if they were running alot of 2nds and 3rds and it would help them get a win or 2 with what they learn....He helped me a few years ago get some wins when we were running top 5 every week....It is amazing the simplest things can get you a foot or 2 per lap....Things like tire groving type, rake angle of the car,,and figuring out when your car needed to be fast,, and what part of the track you needed to give the car speed..,,value lash, and simple friction and alinement things ..Even things to make your car turn alot freer..not easyer but freer.................I wish my computer had a Luther Brewer reminder icon...
