I really appreciate this site that Warren has for us. Since Warren is so active in raising money for the Central Prarie Honor Flights I just donated 25.00 dolllars today and am sending a check for the same to Oklahoma Honor Flights. Thanks Warren and a special thanks to all of the Veterans on this Independence Day.

Alan that is the best thing I have heard today. Except for my wife saying good morning and I new I had made it to another day, LOL.

In the case of Kansas it takes around $500 for each Vet. I would assume Oklahoma is the same. If just 20 viewers did the same we could send one Vet. But I know many have done just that, so my preaching is helping out. I even teared up Saturday in the heat when I was using the curb to smash aluminum cans with my Ford Ranger. I smash the cans cause my Ranger is small and I need all the room I can get when I take them to Hutchinson to sell. I have 3 32 gallon trash cans full of smashed cans so far for the next trip. Smashed that is about 60 lbs. roughly. I know I'm doing the right thing. What better day than July 4th to challenge every viewer to send something. Just a dollar is a dollar they didn't have! After some of the picnic/family reunions I've seen there might be 10 or 20 lbs of cans. Sack them up and cash them up and send it to Honor Flights. Aluminum is in the neighborhood of .50 cents a lb. No money out of anyones pocket. Ramble, Ramble, I'm done.

My father took the honor flight (Kansas) not long before his death in Feb. of 2010. He enjoyed the opportunity. (Vernon Schrater #24). Warren you have done much for others. Thank You

Thank You!

How many other racers are still with us that we should help send to D.C. The youngest entering in 1945 could be as young as 81/82. If he was 16 or born around 1929. Most weren't racers until after WWII and man did they entertain us.

Based on recent 2008 statistics, we are losing World War II veterans at the rate of approximately 1,000 per day. That figure only grows higher the older the Vets get. Teminally ill Vets get priority.
