Attached are photos from the 1970 Golden Belt Speedway (Great Bend, Kansas) awards banquet. Some recognized persons are Melba Pedigo, Don Erskin, Gene Potts, Ron Potts, Dick Hendershot, Don Tracy, Cecil Appel, Butch Brack, Don Kerns, Howard Pedigo, spouses and others. My mother took the photos.

A couple that you didn't mention are John Hebb and Mel Montgomery with their wives in the photo at far right.

The Pedigo family has a lot of scrapbooks from what I was told in the early days of the site. But now I can't remember which, a daughter or son was in control. I believe it was a daughter who had all of them. Whoever it was I never receive any for the site. This was in the first years of the site.

I called Donnie Pedigo and he said his sister (Sandy Pedigo SMITH) had the racing stuff. I contacted her awhile back but she didn't seem to anxious to share. I did notice on Facebook that she has been dealing with a brain tumor and was or is in Wesley Medical Center. Perhaps a period of time should pass before I try to contact her again.
