Years ago I used to occasionally buy photos offered by a professional photographer from Dodge City. He would take photos at the races (some requested) and sell them at the track. He had taken several of the cars my dad owned / built. Attached is a photo I bought from him back in the day but do not recall the story behind it. Anyone recognize the car in the photo? The photographer's name is not on the photo but the hand written name Ronny Polson 1970 is written on the back? If the photo is personal to you I would gladly sent it to you.

Chances are it is Ron Polson #46 from Kinsley, KS ran the Hutch Nationals in 68 & 69.
There is even a Ronald still listed in Kinsley on Capital ave. There is even a phone number listed for him. Gives his age as 60-65. Could fit the time frame.
After that wreck he probably decided racing wasn't in the cards. There is no mention of him after 69 at the Hutch Nationals

I was able to contact Ron Polson and he said he would like the photo. I will get it out to him this week. Although we didn't talk to long he did say he was unconsious for 3 weeks and in the hospital for several months. I guess he really got beat up. Maby we will be able to talk more later. Thanks for the info to be able to contact him.

That is great news to be able to find someone like that. So many racer have no photos left anymore. Sometimes fires, floods, tornadoes and divorces etc. cause them to loose track of photos.
