On this page http://www.racingfromthepast.com/hutchnationals1966index27.html of the Hutchinson Nationals I had a caption under The Henry Ellington photo. I stated that the regular driver of the #76 was Gene Angel. Which was true. The part I said was that Gene had been killed early that year in a highway auto accident. Gene was actually killed that year in August after the race. I apologize for any fights that may have broken out over my statements on that page. I know how bench racing is sometimes. Also my apologize to the family of course. I believe the info I received was from a family member that was in the same business as the Angel's and was good friends with them.

Another link to a great Kansas racing history website about this race and many more.

Attendance – 15,200 plus "more than 2,000 fans had to be turned away". I was one of the 2,000 fans that didn't get to see Henry from Hutchinson, Kansas my howmetown win.
