Just cruzin the web, not looking for anything in particular when I stumble across this
http://tulsa.craigslist.org/tag/1118676579.html
If the link doesn't work, go to Craig's List, Tulsa and search games&toys for "sprint car"
I would have worn the tires off this thing as a kid (heck, maybe even today!)

I'm having a hard time understanding where the engine goes myself. I'm sure the seat was just a place to store it during the swap meet, still drivers legs go forward.

Don't see any engine mount to confirm, but it must be a sidewinder. 250cc two stokes don't take up much room, 125cc singles take up even less.
Darrell built a modified midget or mini modified (before they became know as mini-sprints) that looked like an Edmunds super. I watched him run circles around the newer sprint car looking cars one night at Black Widow. He spun half way through the A, went to the back and still finished in the top three, with no wing.
I don't remember any of those cars running a buggy spring front end. The go-kart steering was common on those old cars. What is the shift lever for? Is it a hand brake like an early midget?

I have no idea on the lever, could be for a brake.

Okay, so I like the title and I don't want to clutter up such an awesome site.
A few pics from my trip Arkansas. Petit Jean swap meet, hardcore restoration buffs mingling with goobers like me.
'56 Victoria, rides as good as it looks. He says it's not as nice as the one he has at home....they all say that

One of them Fords with the weird trunk! He must have a lot of confidence, you don't always see these guys playing around with these tops like this. They can be tempermental.

Anyone ever notice how expensive fresh modified jalopy material is getting these days? They don't even come with small block chevies here.lol
Quite a few high point resto's come through here. A few notables that wish to be alone as well.
