The photos I saw at our last get together of the model cars you guys built are beyond words. The attention to detail was phenomenal. I fully expected to be able to walk out into the parking lot of the pizza place and jump into any one of my favourite drivers rides.
It would have been so cool if you guys could have showcased them at the get together. But we all understand they are fragile, and transporting them would create a problem.
So the best we can wish for, is for you guys post pictures of your extremely talented work for all to see. I don't know anyone from the age 5 to the age ??? that does not appreciate model cars, especially when they are built to this caliber.
Show us what you got boys, or stay on the porch. lol

Thanks for the kind words. I have some that I could bring to the next event that are'nt too fragile. As mentioned, I'm thinking about going to a big show in Irving next month so I'm going to have to find someway to transport the things.
I'm taking off tomorrow for my birthday (I finally turned 21) so I will post some pics of my collection.

Thank you also for the kind words. I agree with John transporting the models is a problem, although my collection is for everyone to see. Thanks to Brian he did post some photos of my collection when he visited my home. There is a bumper sticker that the guys who owned the hobby shop that was in Crossroads Mall gave me since I came into their shop every time I was in OKC. It reads "Plastic Modeling Is Holding History In Your Hands." That means alot to me. I sure miss that hobby shop.

Everytime I go to building anything with wheels, aluminum or plastic, I think about as "going down that road again".
The concept, the artform from controlled chaos, what it inspires. The pursuit that never stops. Sometimes I call it "the dream of the horse".
I really believe a lot home made race cars won back in the day based on the fact that a man put together what he believed in, which helped him believe in himself. Like a having a good horse, they both responded in tune. In the end when the old car is set to rest, it is kept like an old friend in many cases, somewhere. People aren't lazy about getting rid of old race cars, plastic or metal. They just hate to let go of something that seemed to know them better in some ways that no one else ever did.

Being a stickler for details, I notice a nice pair of legs in the upper left of the second photo. Any chance of the whole photo?? LOL
BTW...models are neat also. Makes me want to dig out my Monogram Big T.
