A few cars being done. For privacy reasons, I have moved them to this link. There are more out there.
Keep in mind, the only real sign of comittment is showing up at the gate. Realistically we can't expect everyone to show up. This only a sample of some of the cars out there seriously being done.

For you coupe fans, here's a 34 Hudson looking at our show. Straight axle with a 305.

The frame is much like they were here in the late 60's. It was from a later era and maybe turned around.

The coupe is on a mid 60's International Scout frame that was lengthened 12". It has a quick change rearend, the front axle is out of a mid 40's Ford. Used part of the stock front nose and built the rest including the hood. It is running a mild 305 Chevy and three speed transmission. I did build the car ground up and it does race with the ShowMe Vintage Racing group. Any Questions about the car I will do my best to answer.

They would have let you run in the late 60's, I see no reason why you can't run down here. Had no idea a Hudson could look good as a modified!
I do know that straight axles(which yours is) are HEAVILY PREFERRED(consider it mandatory) on open wheel cars.
The issue of beadlocks is out to jury right now. Have you got any non-beadlock wheels and tires? For now, if beadlocks are all you've got, bring it.
We need to see where we really are before we can even start making ironclad rules on certain issues.
We all violate the term "period correct" to a certain degree. We just don't need to get too far from what makes this sector of the hobby special, otherwise we'll end up being just like everybody else.

Right now all the wheels I have are beadlock. Tires are takeoffs from a latemodel team. If these won't work let me know and Will see if I can come up with something different.

I say run whatever you have,I will be there with my 100" car and it has bead locks on all four corners. It is my understanding we are not running for a $10,000 purse,so it should not be an issue.

90% of those south of OkC have no problem with beadlocks really. They are safer.

If we are talking period correct,I will have single wire alternators on my cars ,3" 5- point harnesses, kill switches, fuel cells.None of this is period correct, but I do not think it takes away from what we do.It all boils down to what is safe.

If Lloyd needs a ride, he can drive my 1958 CAE sprintcar.

Depends on what period you're talking about. In your case, far as I know, you have 4 cars from 3 different eras.
In any case, that's just good common sense.
There are some who won't use a manufactured "fuel cell". Still, those are okay as long as the container is suitably protected and of strong construction. A plastic 5 gallon gas can DOES NOT FIT this category.
We are about having fun and protecting our investments just like anybody. Our safety and the safety of those around us-is of interest to the families that have an investment in the driver.

A few things that are restricted--
wings-not allowed on track- If you HAVE TO HAVE a wing, display only. No tolerance
Sprint tails- the shell has to be at least of the same dimension as a 35 gallon tank or larger. (in the future if we have enough for 2 divisions of cars from the '68-'87+ eras, we will look to separate the latter era cars from the earlier.)

Lloyd Ruby in the 58 CAE sprintcar. That would be period correct. That will be priceless.
