The 3 is Gene Gennetten for sure. You know he died in a drowning accident at the Lake of The Ozarks a couple of years ago. He built boat docks & could not swim. He fell out of a boat. The 4X is Ray Lee Goodwin or Jan Opperman. Goodwin drove it 2 seasons about that time. Opperman also drove it. The white 4 could be Don Mack from Grand Forks, ND. He used that # & always went to Tampa. He was hurt severly at Tampa after the track was moved out east of town. The 40 car is the one Dick Sutcliff drove earlier & Thad Dosher drove it about that time. Chuck Amati is seen out of his car with a full head of Hair. The 71 car is likely one of Diz Wilsons cars. The 1a is Bobby Allen from PA. There are others such as the 1 that is a white car with a square patch on the tail with the 1 in it. It is likely the car Jay Woodside drove that was owned by Keith Barker. It started as a Don Brown car (built by Don) and was sold to Tom Corbin in the mid 60 and he ran it as #44. He had it a few years then sold it to Barker. My car ran against it at Boone, Iowa in 1969 as the #1 & Jay Woodside drove it.
I was running the Topeka track at the time (seasons 71, 72, 73 $ 74). I did not go to Tampa in 74 but did in Feb of 73. You have a lot of good stuff & some nice links. I noticed the pictures of Chet Wilsons red # 25. Some pictures are with a flat head Ford with 3 carbs and straight exhaust. Early pictures do not have a sprint roll bar and later ones do, Notice the carbs, exhaust pipes and the roll bar. You can see the change during time on the car. Chet Wilson balanced an assembly for me for the first engine to go in the car #5 I built for the 66 season.
I realy enjoy the posts and replies
Thanks for the entertainment. Luther

Don Mack is on the video standing in the pits. You can kind of read his name on the uniform. The one with the round sun glasses.

There are several others I could guess at but not sure. Darrell Harrison always ran a #44 in IMCA but he went USAC about that time. There was another #44 out of the Memphis ar4ea that it could have been. I recognize someone new each time I look at the vedio.

Warren, Sorry, I missed the 3rd car that appears in the video until Curt pointed it out. You sure picked that one out. I sent the link to Dave Hoska in Minneapolis that has restored the car.
