Yes I'd plan on getting there by or around six. It all depends on how many cars there are and how fast the track gets packed in. But I'd say if you get there by six you'll be alright to see hot laps.

My Schedule

Get to Fresno Thursday

Friday ~ get to the track around noon (at the latest) leave the track proably two hours after the checkered flag flys ~ work on pictures for hours afterwards ~ get about 5 hours sleep

Saturday ~ get there around the same time so I can get some bean-bag tourney shots and do the same as Friday all over again

Damn it will be a long week-end Smile

brian i have a thought on how things could be easier for you . take one good pic of the muddy pits and one of the rain soaked track. then come hang out at the hotel and party with the rest of us. lol.

Runnindafonz,

Could you keep all of us on the weather there? Would really appreciate it. Long drive for nothing if it is raining on race day!! Thanx!

The weather this weekend totally sucks! It's been soo nice lately and now a storm during a big sprint car weekend. I totally feel for all the drivers, fans, promoters and everyone else involved in making the race happen this weekend. Is there anyway that this race can be made up another weekend? I am hoping that everything works out and that at least the hotels are understanding of the situation. Thanks Gary for keeping everyone updated.

Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
