Thanks.  Seems to suggest Gravel might have the edge, but will it be enough?

Sweet beat Schatz by a few points in 2019. Went down to the last lap.

Sweet was 2 points ahead of Schatz going into the 2019 final race.   Sweet got 2nd and Schatz 3rd, so Sweet won the title by 4 points to start his current 3 year run.

Qualifying will be interesting come Thursday. Where they are lining up for their heat races each day in order to get into a dash position may decide everything. Out of the two, Gravel has to go for the win and has had that attitude for this race each year whether he has had a shot for the title or not. Sweet has approached this time of year as a risk vs reward with the moves he makes on the track. Racing smart vs hard each lap. In the past when he has needed to race hard he has been able to get the job done such as back in 2019. He has even said that even though he has a 16pt lead he is approaching the last two races as they are tied.

I think you can throw out past results and stats.   This may come down to a flat tire, motor issue, or crash.

I think the differetial is too much unless a crash or mechanical failure in the feature..I'd like to see Gravel win but I think there are just too many points to make up..Me thinks Sweet will win by a few points..Just hope they water the hell out of the track to keep the dust down not like other years of a dust bowl..

This mite be a reason to come back and watch this year.  I think it all comes down to the track prep, the place the last few years has been terrible. You can bank, when they roll out to time both of those motors are going to set on kill or blow up.

Well after that dash race we see who wants it. Sweet will be champion.

The DNF will cost Sweet the championship.  Don't know if Vegas has odds on WoO title races but does not look good for Sweet, especially given the DNF at the end of the year (which without it would have been a title win for Sweet) but worse is the average finish at that track this year, what was it something like an average of approx 2nd place plus change for Gravel and 4th or 5th plus change for Sweet. But what do I know---nothing, and worse as days go by in the middle of my 7th decade, I'm a guesser.  Next year Gravel and Carson Macedo will have a hell of a battle.  Another wild guess.

Sadly, it looks like Gravel's long shot got even longer after last night

Sweet had a good night Wednesday considering that in qualifying he was almost last out and the draw for the dash he drew 8th starting position. Carson had them all covered until going to 7 cylinders.

Sweet has Gravel covered tonight.  They only thing that could hurt him is a DNF.  Anything else and Sweet is your Champ for the 4th year.  I dont cheer for either.  However, there was some excitement going into the last races of the year.
