I know there was some talk about Eldora surpassing it, but the Nationals is still the best. No contest.

I have been to many races and the world 100 and knoxville nats are in a class of their own when it comes to racing atmosphere!

Just the way the show is run..As they came into to scales you could see the push mules lined up as each car came in..Lots of prep and organization for sure..Atmosphere must be awsome..Never been to Nationals but did go in April around 1977 for a spring event..Been to the KIngs Royal and great and to Ralph Shaheen weekend many years ago..Would love to go to Nats but at my age I don't think its going to happen..Have to watch on Dirt Vision I guess..

I don't even know how old you are but, "At your age", I'd make it happen.

You make it sound like there might not be too many years left.  :-)

No doubt about it no other event in racing rivals the Knoxville Nationals for me anyway! Best track, best facility, best racing, best fans.............simply the best!! A little cooler weather would be nice, but outside of that, OUTSTANDING every year!!

The feature was good but the rest of the show not so much. The track was not wide enough for the heats as always seems to be the case on Wednesday. Well run though with no screwing around.

Totally agree. Not a knock on Knoxville just the way it is sometimes. All but one of the heats, B main, and C main races were won from the front row. Of the 20 fastest qualifiers only 7 were able to transfer to the A out of their heat. Its a tough format, in which the cream usually finds a way to rise to the top, but it doesn't always make for great racing. That being said, I wouldn't change a thing. It's supposed to be tough. It's the biggest race of the year.

I agree racing up to the A main wasnt great not much passing and most of the passing was done on the start but Feature was much better

The race for the last transfer spot in the B was awesome. If you only watch the leader you'll be bored at most races.

The Wednesday track seems to be more one groove than the other nights.  It seems they really juice it up with moisture for the first night.  Feature was good and yes that b main transfer battle was great between Droud and Crockett.  Crockett had it then it was taken back with the Bogucki yellow and Droud held him off on the restart.

Expecting a good night tonight.

Hey-are you upset because the quicker time cars in 4 th row had a very hard time getting to top 4 cars.  Before the heat races you would never have picked some of the cars that won heats or made A main.  I think it was good.  It just shows how imprtant it is to start on front row, when a slower  car can beat faster cars.

Thats one of the biggest problems with PPV as opposed to live.... you can only watch the cars that the camera man chooses to focus on. & sometimes the announcer is raving about some battle & the camera is somewhere else...

If you're there, you can whip your head back & forth trying to watch the leader, particular drivers or just good battles
