This one is kind of a head scratcher for me. I am sure that there is more to this than what everyone is letting on but with as much as they had won in the past two years I figured this team would be together for awhile. From what I had seen, the rumor was Muddy was leaving the team but according to this it looks like Muddy is staying together and just going with a different driver. Also, heard rumblings that Muddy was leaving the Blaney team as well which sucks. Great driver on the market and a great team on the market now. Silly season starting to get in full swing now.

Nick14, how can muddy leave a team it owns? That to me makes zero sense

Blaney team is CH Motorsports with backing from Muddy.

Yeah true. I wonder if Madsen got the ride or maybe Dollansky.
Lasoski will easily get another ride for Knoxville.

That deal with Dale Blaney was basically sponsorship and nothing more. Tod came on board, bought the trailer and gave them the sponsor money to run. But he had not invested anything in that team after the initial investment. And form what I;ve heard, Muddy is essentially putting all their money in the Gravel basket. As for who gets in Loasoski's ride...I wouldn;t be suprised to see Dale take over that car as driver and see them go to the All Stars instead of out west. But that's a guess 100%. Lots of good names looking for a ride right now

my guess is he and Guy are fighting again (happens everytime they race together).
As for what happens with the team? who knows for sure, but wouldn't be surprised if Sammy ends up there either (he and Tod are still ok as far as I know), and unless he ends up in the BWW car, he's still looking too...

These are only silly season rumors, but this one makes sense to me as well at this point, especially with the recent passing of George Fisher

Just speculation here and I pretty much wouldn't know my @$$ from a hole in the ground, but have we seen an announcement on Zomer? Just wondering if Zomer or Madsen might be landing in this car???

I thought the same thing when I heard it so I thought it meant that they would be basically just sponsoring Gravel and putting all of their eggs in that basket. The Blaney thing I knew it was simply sponsorship. I knew they owned the 2Muddy car but the way someone told me they were cutting the funding for the Lasoski deal so I simply took that the mean that they were disolving the team completely and focusing their attention else where like the NSL and the Gravel deal. That acutally would make more sense to me that its getting too expensive to sponsor 2cars and own another one or however it works so they will focus on the 1 program plus the NSL program as this team did win 4titles in 2 years and a lot of races.
That usually means that there was friction somewhere along the way, probably will never know the full story, but this will open up the flood gates probably. 1 quality driver on the market, 1 quality car so more the dominos will be falling soon.

Kerry would be a good fit. Run Jackson, Knoxville and hit 40-50 or more WoO shows like Ian is planning to do in 2017. Should know soon!

My theory could be taking a Big Game car back on the Woo trail and looking for a driver that fits that mold. Just a thought. My guess would be Kerry Madsen. Guess time will time.

From the press release, I'd think they were going away from Knoxville and focusing more nationally...
"“With the direction we wanted to take the team next year we felt it was appropriate to explore all options for 2017"
You certainly won't find anyone available better than the Dude at Knoxville, so a more National schedule makes sense.

Uh, they already have a Big Game car on the WoO tour with a guy named Gravel. Why would they want a second one. Yes, they don't own that car, it's CJB but they still sponsor him. And why put money into another WoO car when Gravel runs so well while carrying the Big Game TreeStands banner.

Agreed, seems like it would be a conflict of interests. A Quiring owned car running the ascoc instead of the nsl seems a little odd also.

So. Is it common practice in a situation like this to have this Lundt guy do the random firing instead of TQ himself? Seems off, the article never mentioned Tod
