Bummer for them to split.  Danny is a good shoe who is very consistant and easy on equipment.

Kinda funny to hear Danny talk about loyalty. Maybe he forgot how he lost the TSR ride.

Agreed, seems like it would be a conflict of interests. A Quiring owned car running the ascoc instead of the nsl seems a little odd also.

Gravel is doing a phenomenal job and Big Game is staying with him but turning into Muddy as far as the money big game gives I believe its usually a truck or trailer thats their sponsorship. and as far as the number 2 Muddy car. Its Kerry the madman Madsen fir 2017

They could certainly put the Madman in the #2 Muddy car and run a similar schedule that he did this year hitting some WoO and also most of the big Midwest Shows.  Keeps the car near TQ for a good chunk of schedule + hits bigger shows in Midwest and elsewhere...

The annual millionaires hiring less talented drivers, keeping all the equipment absolutely identicle and expecting a better result event.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Been saying it for nearly a month now, Saldana to the 17w car. As far as this ride goes.....yes, the Big Game sponsorship for teams is basically the trailer, the pit cart and some odds and ends. They are upping with Gravel and going all in. Muddy is taking center stage and the Big Game name is basically taking a back seat, as the Muddy gear is where the money is and they'd like to up those sales. I think with the loss of George Fisher and the Big Game money leaving Blaney, it could make sense that he basically comes on as a hired driver for them now, but I cvould also see Kerry making a lot of sense based on what he would like to do. I guess time will tell there

Actually I think you're out of line and his post was pretty accurate. Most of the rich idiot car owners should latch on to and keep a driver in the seat for several years. They aren't going to beat Stewart and Schatz anyhow by doing the same old same old, so the current rich owners should be building a team with the future in mind......like for when Donny retires!

Maybe Mainstream Holdings (parent company of Big Game/Muddy) needs to hold back some funds to fight this lawsuit (link below); afterall the phone call Dude got came from the CFO according to the story. By the way, I think it's an incredibly sad story but equally sad that the family is suing for what sounds like a complete freak accident. You can sue for anything in this country, unbelievable. Hope to continue to see more than one TQ backed cars on the track.

Except for the fact that if these owners he speaks of had Ford motors under the hood, he wouldn't be saying any of this shit. We're talking about the guy who's so sick in the head with obsession, that he somehow has himself convinced that it's exciting to watch Jay Reichard blow a motor in hot laps every time he races just because the motor he runs is a Ford. Funny that he doesn't ever mention that his idol Casey Luna did the same exact shit when he owned a car but that doesn't matter to him because Luna had Ford motors between the rails. You're right though, building a team with the future in mind is something so very few teams do, but that isn't at all what the used car salesman is talking about. He's just pissed that none of those millionaires want to run an inferior Ford motor.

I'm with minthess on this one. Try something different for Gods sake, put the headers on backwards like Kenny Weld. Anything.

Ooooh maybe the chemistry will be different between driver and crew chief so the team will have 65 top 10 finishes instead of 59.

:0 :0  I know exactly what you mean.....what he doesn't get and never will is the fact that between the chasis rails of a sprint car sits the most obvious choice for power there is or it wouldn't be there at all! The Luna team did have as much success as one could hope for considering who they were running against, Kinser, Swindell and Wolfie. Bottom line is pretty simple. The application of a Ford to a Sprint car in the 410 class won't get the job done. Besides.....today what's a Chevy a Ford or a MOPAR in regards to these specialty engines? Regardless his feelings and loyalty for Ford.....he was correct in the sometimes futile attempt of owners to solve their "problems" by jumping from driver to driver, which I knew you would ultimately agree with.

I absolutely agree with you on that. I've said it on here many times, just as recently as the other day, that far too many owners are impatient and don't give it enough time for chemistry to develop. I was flabbergasted when Roth left Gravel go. He had who I think, will be the next Donny Schatz if there ever is one, and he left him go after a slow start to the year. Every team goes into slumps. Even the best. When you know you got the right package, just let them figure it out because they will. You don't see Jerry Parrish flipping shit and firing everyone after this past year when for first 3/4 of the year, they were barely a top 10 car on most nights. He knows he has a hell of team and he knows Brian is a top notch wheelman. They'll figure it out again and toward the end of the season, the 21 was running up front again.
