Just so all you self appointed geniuses know, the week of the Nationals is when the Chuckster has a three day Monster Truck show scheduled. Now, what I want to know is, if you clowns owned a race track 330 miles (if not more) from Knoxville, what would you do a week before the Nationals? Not run anything at all? How would that help your business? Does every track in the country that runs 410s get the same questioning? Oh, and for the record, the week of the Nationals, I will be in Knoxville. Haven't missed it since 1994. But the weekend before, I will be at BMS for my weekly sprint car fix. It's only a 50 mile drive so why wouldn't I be there?

We'll still have a great car count, no worries. T-Mac & Henderson are pre-entries to 360 Nationals and T-Mac won last year, so I'm sure they're not happy about not getting to race for more $$$ and already be in Knoxville where he's going to be the next night anyway..but then again, he's only going to have to beat about 4 cars at Husets, so maybe he stays where there will be less competition.

Could the rain date be scheduled for 8/8 or would that piss Terry off too much for Chuck to do something like that

I second that. However, I've tried to put that aside and see what Chuck is doing at Badlands for what it is. I see it as inceredible, anprecedented, and highly beneficial to fans and racers in the region. Bravo, Chuck. Having said that, this Double Down points night creates an intersting dilema for the top five in points at Badlands, with the exeption of Dobmeier who typically doesn't run any 360 shows. Maybe not much of a dilema as I don't see how any of the teams in the top five in points at Badlands can skip that night to race the 360 Nationals. Especially given Dobmeier is likley to stay at Badlands. The fact that it's just doubled for for the 2nd chance points fund is irrelevant. Those that are in the hunt for both point funds can't just forego their points for the 2nd chance point fund without foregoing their points regular season points for the week as well. Let's say McCarl elects to go to knoxville for the 360 Nationals( the fact that he's pre-entered means nothing now), the rest of the top five at Badlands would be crazy not to stay there and race that night. And what does Zomer do? He's sitting eighth in Badlands points. My guess is 360 Nationals because they desire the title, but what about the 2nd chance points? Who Knows, but it lookslike 3-4 less cars at the 360 Nationals, at least. Doesn't seem like reason for alarm but these are 3-4 very high quality cars, each with a very good chances of winning, and a large fan base. I have to give Chuck two thumbs down on this one. Get over yourself already. I know it's 410's vs 360's and 320 miles apart, but this isn't just scheduling against Knoxville, it's scheduling against the biggest 360 race of the year and making an extra effort to do so. I'd like to hear from the teams that are actually affected by this news. I wonder what they think. I wonder if some of them will go to 360 nationals for their qualifying night and then make a deision based on their results.

It's not just your average race at Knoxville, it's the 360 Nationals. And I don't have an issue at all with just running a regular show at Badlands, just with the added points and purse, and going public with it only a month before the event. I guess you could call it promoting, but it just seems to me like a low blow, a bit of undermining if you will.

Only more money for the top 2 A main finishers in each class. Regular payout for everyone else.
Chuck's really taking care of the little guys, isn't he.

Funny! Knoxville didn't run double purse, double points the week of the Kings Royal! Oh wait they aren't running any points that night! Why? Because they have Class.

McCarl is already pre-registered for the 360 Nationals. Guess he'll have to get a refund.
