i was listening to the dirt nerds podcast yesterday and they said macri's dad almost kicked him out of the car for throwing a fit. they called it the "scuttlebutt" so i don't know their sources. story makes a lot of sense though. kid gets upset, team gets tired of it and leaves, dad parks car at selinsgrove to send a message.
only thing i question is how much of a message you're really sending when you put him back in the car and with a hired gun person on the wrenches. i'm not sure macri learned much since he said after the williams grove win he had a point to prove. what point was that? you can win in some of the best equipment with a big name setting up your car? his daddy brent marks wasn't there either.
i root for all the pa guys...or at least try to...and especially want to root for macri since i live really close to dillsburg. i just hope his attitude doesn't hold him back.

I find it funny that people talk about Macri like he is nothing if Mark's is in the house. Maybe Mark's is the better driver atm but Macri is a strong 2nd when Mark's is around and expected 1st when not. There is no shame in that. There are many lower on the list and few if any above.

biggest takeaway from my post shouldn't be macri is an inferior driver. i think everyone agreed headed into speedweek it was 1a. and 1b. takeway should be hoping that macri learns how to deal better with even being 1b. marks is a good example for that since he hit some low points after he left the bjd team and has gone back to the top.
