Thanks

I actually prefer the racing at Lincoln myself, just get tired of the diatribes....

Smaller tracks are usually better, IMHO

Lincoln handicaps a lot more than Port does. They invert the entire field for heat races and only the top 2 get handicapped to the front. They also draw more cars for regular shows. Port mixes up the formats for regular shows. Last night Lincoln did time trials, winner started 2nd. Everyone likes to see the winner have to pass cars but starting position isn't always indicative of a good race.

I have complained that Port has too many special shows which are almost all time trial shows. With that said I have done my complaining where it is actually heard rather than on message boards. They may not change but the people who can change it know what I think. The other thing with that is that many of the bigger shows cost too much for families to attend and that is the future.

B Strawser go back and check your notes from last year and tell us what you find. I have a question for you B Strawser are you related to Angie Keefer because you act just like her.

Actually BillV99 did keep them last year and specifically pointed out to you that it was the opposite last year so I am sure you remember that and hoped no one else would. Talk about not being able to handle facts. I still think all three local tracks should run more handicapped shows.

How did this go from a thread about the Heffner 27 to a debating average starting spots sore losers?

Sorry bskarter4, but here's more non 'Heffner 27' discussion.

Since my stats were brought up, below is a list I just put together for current numbers. Port Royal's 4.6 would be higher than any other track last year, and easily 2nd best this year. Those numbers seem pretty good to me!!

Current Track Average Starting Positions

  1. 6.7 Lincoln
  2. 4.6 Port Royal
  3. 3.7 Husets
  4. 3.6 Fremont
  5. 3.4 Atomic
  6. 2.7 Williams Grove
  7. 2.7 Knoxville
  8. 2.6 St Francois
  9. 2.4 Wayne County
  10. 2.3 Attica

Current Series Average Starting Positions

  1. 3.0 World of Outlaws
  2. 2.4 All Stars

Maybe one of us fact-fingered a number somewhere, that's possible.  But the numbers still are not very different, and Port Royal's numbers, which ironically yours makes Port Royal better, still remain pretty good, and most tracks would kill for those numbers.  So why the complaining?  (I know, stupid question)

the heffner wingless car in the east coast series was in one of the races of the year friday night at williams grove.  alex bright beat briggs by 0.030 seconds.  watching those two duke it out has been one of the best shows in pa racing for the last 2 years.  they're at action track wednesday night.

the grove developed two nice grooves by the end of the night.  briggs caught bright using the top side.  the 410 feature was good too.  heat races were mostly one lane races but things definitely came around for the feature.

Please don't start with that "infallible" stuff again, you've been doing OK lately

Your figures differ by 0.26 on Lincoln & 0.15 on Port Royal....no big deal

You both agree that Lincoln winners average  about 2 positions further back at the start

Lets just leave it at that, OK?

That race at Action Track should be great... wish I lived closer

Pretty small track for 410s, winged or not!

The pic I saw of the new ride had a second car sitting there with the same body colors. This will be interesting to watch once they get a schedule released.

Yeah that was an amazing finish for sure. Never thought the Grove would be that good for wingless but the wingless races this year have been great, far better than the winged 410's.
