According to Jeremy Elliott, Borden has left the 27 to join the John Stehman team with both Jim and Chris Shuttlesworth.
It'll be interesting to see if this has an effect on Macri's performance and who'll be picked up by Heffner. My guess would be Briggs Danner for the 27.

I live far away, please explain how dealings within the 27 team affect the driver of the 39M team. Thanks eh!
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Tell us how you really feel, wow. Can't argue with him on the performance of the 39 team, they have been fast this year in pa. Will be interesting to see what Borden becomes with them turning the wrenches, have they announced where they are going to race ? The 27 team has had a ball and chain dragging it down for years, including when Hodnett was the driver.

Rumor has it that the Macris have invited Bernie from Indy Race Parts to help their team this weekend.

i'll bet on cory eliason in the 27. they seem to like adding guys with a little more name recognition especially at this point in the season. briggs seems pretty locked in the with 5g. they're planning to run part of indiana speed week later this month.

Bernie is not a long term solution for the #39M team. Maybe for a few races. He is spread way too thin with his time between running Indy Race Parts, promoting Terre Haute, his own #71 team and the Crouch #11 team. He is one of the few teams that run Charlie Garrett built engines along with Brian Brown and the #39M team, but he is a Maxim loyalist and Macri runs xXx chassis. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for Macri going forward.

Wagaman Jr. sure seems to run well with what he has. I'd like to see him get a good ride to see what he could do.

Who exactly is Briggs Danner? Has he been cleaning up in 360s or something? Never heard his name before today and it sounds like he's the potential replacement for D Borden.

Runs USAC east coast non-winged sprints alot. Ran with the WoO a couple of times as well as I believe some 360 winged shows at Selinsgrove. Very talented up and coming driver. Had an excellent Eastern Storm recently.

he's from the allentown area. started racing modified at grandview and then got a shot running a 360 wingless car in the usac east coast series 2 years ago at bridgeport. he won that race and earned the ride with the curt michel/bill gallagher 5g team last year in that series. they won a lot of races last year in that car and have continued that success this year. probably would have won that title if he hadn't flipped with the lead in turn 3 at selinsgrove. he's entered the 410 wingless car in the usac national sprint races mostly during eastern storm and typically runs up front. they've done more 360/410 wing stuff this year. he qualified for the first outlaw race he ever entered at bridgeport this year.
his home turf is action track where he runs a family own speedstr (track champion last year) and a 600 micro. he'll basically run anything.
seems like a great kid. great family. lehigh valley pride. there are some podcasts with good interviews. there was one fairly recently i believed on winged nation through mrn.

I've watched Borden quite a bit. Never saw a ton of talent. He doesn't put the race car in the correct lines to be fast and makes a lot of bad choices causing a lot of crashes.

Why would Eliason or Danner even want the 27 ride I mean I know it is a ride but it hasnt been a good ride for years so I would look for something better especially if I was Danner who a ride just my opinion

Danner is being mentioned because Heffner also owns the 5G he currently drives. He bought the team after Gallagher passed away and sponsored the team before that. The 27 is probably the biggest budget team in central PA so the potential is there.

I don't get the logic.
If I show you a racer that is a poor loser, I'll still show you a loser.

No shit. That was my point. Whether you're a good loser or a poor loser, you're still a loser.

Fun question: What's the furthest back for a win at Lincoln?
Not trying to start an argument, just curious....
