Anyone else notice Terry McCarl holding a Mike's hard lemonade during his interview with Dave Argabright?
I don't know about anybody else, but I got a problem with a racer--no matter the series--being shown on TV with alcohol in pits, even if they're only holding the bottle.

There's one problem with the product placement theory. Mike's Hard Lemonade isn't a sponsor.

You are full of sh-t if you think Terry is DRINKING a MIKES before a big race like this! I also seen the bottle in his hand & lap on speed and think this must be some kinda sponsor thing or something else. There is NO-WAY any driver of this event would have a cocktail prier to the race!!!

I take that back.... Mike's hard lemonade is a sponsor. It's on the top of his front wing. Now we know it was product placement.
But part of my argument stays the same. Alcohol should never NEVER be shown in a driver's hand BEFORE the start of a race. Never.

Why didn't you argue about the pocketshots being shown on national TV with Randy Hannagan a couple of races ago? Get over it...it's just for show.

that would be great if an alcoholic beverage sponsored Hannagan. In interviews he would be reading a porn mag and drinking a cold one...............priceless.
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

Wow, if you have a problem with a Mike's Hard Lemonade being shown on tv, you better never go to races in Quebec. LOL I was there about 4-5 times to see the DIRT modified series race at Granby and Drummond, and I was always amazed at the fact that seemingly everyone was drinking beer in the pits before the races began.

Rogue is correct with his previous post. When I went there for the DIRT Series races, I was shocked to see drivers drinking before the races. That seemed like an invitation for a lawsuit.

Unlike the United States, Canada is not under the control of the trial lawyers. When something bad happens in Canada, lawyers do not ooze out from under every nearby rock, suing everyone in sight.

Mikes is a stand up company and has supported hydroplane racing for some time in yhe NW. They also produce and market NA products. What if he was sippin a Thomas Kemper root beer. Better yet he could have thrown an empty out instead of waving a Shotz the other day. Tmac would have made a great snakeoil salesman in the old days, hard lemonade has to be as close as we get these days.

I'd rather see a beer in his hand than a joint anyday. My attitude is not about right and wrong, yet it's about the sport being clean enough to appeal to a broad mass of people. You can get by with a couple of beers.
It only stands to reason that if you drink too many, you won't have the good rides for long.

If you look at the race again you will see that it is viatmin water he was drinking at the end of the race not Mike's. I think during the interview it was all for product placement.

Ok, it is to product placement when if you look at the nose wing there is clearly a mikes hard sticker on there, and if you look at when hes holding the mikes hard its full and the lid is on
