Man I'm not talking about right or wrong anymore. Most people I know my age smoke this stuff and they're good friends of mine anyway. They just don't bring it around me.

I know booze has killed more people, and when you leave the law out of it, booze has destroyed a hell of a lot more.

MY POINT IS THIS--THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SAY ALL ALONG-

I am convinced that 75% of the people watching do not feel comfortable around it. The competition for the entertainment dollar is tough and it makes those dollars whimsical. Speed costs money, they have it, thus until 75% of the fans are okay with it, lets leave it out of the spotlight.

I am a JAN OPPERMAN fan by the way, and would have been during the Weld and Pancho Carter days.

I have tried to sell this sport all my life to those around me and most of those people don't go around it. How do I sell this sport when this issue still stands a chance to undermine it's credibility?

I want to apologize to all of those I have offended, especially you OKCFan12, yet I'm not sure I should.

sorry man I kinda took off on that one. You don't need to apologize..........I wasn't really offended by it.......... I went to make a point and got carried away with it. It's my place to apologize.

the fellas you're friends with that do it must be alright guys. When I quit doin it they all lost my #. lol. but it's been the best possible scenario as life has been infinitely better since I've been sober.

but back to the point........I apologize for coming off the way I did.

sprntr, the Outlaws are in that area you mentioned this weekend, a province called Alberta. They have a couple of cities less than three hours apart that might make your statement a myth. According to Wikipedia, the metropolitan population of Edmonton is slightly over One Million and Calgary has even more people than that, hardly deserted by any standards. They are approximately 2 and 4 hundred miles from the US border to boot (said with a heavy Canadian accent, lol). Heck, I bet most of the States in the USA don't have two cities that big, nor that close together. I type this realizing you said it tongue in cheek but I spent 7 years in these two cow-towns a long time ago and have some great memories from those days. Since they are both fueled by the Alberta Tar Sands these are two towns that will be big players in the oil business for decades to come. If the weather stays right I think the teams will sell a whole bunch of souvenirs this weekend, no place in Canada has the spending money this city has these days, should be fun. Take It Easy....

It was the Mike's Hard Lemonade that gave Irish Terry the courage to try the sliders on Schatz for the restarts!!!
