Jesse Hockett, one of the nation's top sprint car drivers, died Wednesday afternoon while working on an electrical box in his race car trailer at his shop near his home in Warsaw, Missouri.
He was preparing his car for this weekend's Lucas Oil ASCS event in Jetmore, Kansas, and had just completed a three-race winning weekend at Sedalia, Lake Ozark, and Double-X.
Scott, Kirk, and all the Racinboys team extends deepest sympathies to Jesse's family.

RIP Jesse Hockett! Thanxx for all the memories. We loved watching you race! You were an inspiration to my whole family. You were my little brothers favorite. God needed another sprint car driver. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Hockett family and his friends.
I'd rather be in Knoxville.
