DEMING – SkagitRadio.com is pleased to announce the addition of
Deming Speedway Mini Sprint Car racing to our programming lineup,
beginning this week with three nights of live audio from the speedway’s
biggest event of the year.
The 26th annual Deming Speedway Clay Cup Nationals will feature many
of the best mini sprint drivers from the western United States and
Canada racing for a guaranteed purse of $35,000.00 dollars, including
impressive $5000.00 payouts to the winners of Saturday night’s two “A”
main championship races.
Racing from Deming Speedway’s Clay Cup will begin this Thursday,
July 16th, with full programs Thursday and Friday setting up Saturday
night’s main events. The Clay Cup will feature the two fastest and most
powerful classes of mini-sprints that run at the Northwest Washington
track, the 1200 and 600 unlimiteds.
Deming Speedway owner Paul Lemley said he looks forward to working
with SkagitRadio.com as a way for race fans who are unable to attend
the races to be able to follow the action live beginning with a
simulcast of speedway public address announcers Randy Pratt and Kaleb
Hart during this week’s Clay Cup.
“We realize there are probably thousands of mini sprint racing fans
worldwide who can’t travel here for the Clay Cup and would like to
follow their favorite drivers and we’re excited to have the live
webcasts of our races on SkagitRadio.com,” Lemley said. “We’re always
looking for ways to better serve the great race fans and sponsors that
support us, and we think working with SkagitRadio.com will help us
reach fans who can’t be here, as well as giving our racers and sponsors
additional exposure and publicity.”
The lead play-by-play voice of SkagitRadio.com’s high school
football and basketball coverage, John Fasso will be hosting SR.com’s
Saturday night coverage live from Deming Speedway.
“I’ve been a racing fan since childhood when I lived within
listening and walking distance to Skagit Speedway and one of the
highlights of my announcing career was working for the Lemley’s when
they owned Skagit,” Fasso said, “Deming Speedway runs one of very best
racing programs nationwide, and I don’t just mean mini sprints. A night
of racing at Deming is as good as you’ll see anywhere at any level, and
I’m really happy to add coverage of the Clay Cup to our programming
here at SkagitRadio.com.”
With all of SkagitRadio.com’s programming to date being offered FREE

Cup Nationals will also be FREE, as a joint public service of Deming
