JUNE HAS XXX RACERS WHISTLING A HAPPY TUNE It was another great week for Triple X Race Co. as the XXX chassis scored more victories in Canada and the U.S. in sprint car and 600 mini-sprint competition. In Canada, Chuck Hebing won an Empire Super Sprints event. Colton Heath won in both a 600 mini-sprint and winged 410 sprint car in Washington this weekend. Mike Houseman Jr. was victorious in non-wing action in Iowa. Glenn Borden Jr. got his first win of the year as did Marc Schutte. Andy Forsberg was also victorious on Wednesday in Civil War competition, earning his fourth checkered flag this season. It's probably not well known that there is sprint car racing in the Canadian province of Quebec. But that's where the Empire Super Sprints were on Saturday, racing in at Autodrome Drummond, the longest running dirt track in Quebec. It was there that Chuck Hebing scored his first win of the year in his No. 45 XXX winged 360 sprint car. Hebing sits only seven points out first place in the Empire Super Sprints following his victory. Triple X Race Co.'s own Colton Heath has had many strong runs in both 600 mini-sprints and winged 410 sprint cars in 2009, but it was this weekend that he finally broke through and found victory lane...in both classes no less. On Friday night, Heath dominated in the No. 2x XXX house car at Deming Speedway in 600 stock competition. That finally got his co-workers off his case as fellow XXX employee Kelsey Carpenter is already a three-time winner this season. Heath then made an even bigger statement on Saturday when he took his No. 5x XXX sprint car to victory lane in Skagit Speedway's 410 winged sprint car main event. For his efforts, Colton has finally earned a week free of shop cleaning duties. In Burlington, Iowa on Saturday, the XXX sprint car chassis earned another win in non-wing 360 sprint car action. Mike Houseman Jr. took his XXX sprint car to victory lane at 34 Raceway. His car is sponsored by Kustom Sprint Car Supplies, who is a trusted XXX dealer in the area. Triple X Race Co.'s season long success at Skagit Speedway continues; along with Heath's win in the 410 sprint cars, Marc Schutte scored his first win of the season Saturday in the sportsman sprint car feature in his No. 72 XXX. Schutte led every lap of the feature, this after crashing out of the lead just a few weeks ago. Every week Skagit Speedway has raced, a XXX sprint car chassis has been in victory lane following a main event at least once. Glenn Borden Jr. had just recently taken over the points lead in the 360 sprint car division at Grays Harbor Raceway, but hadn't been able to win a race yet. That changed in Saturday's main event when Borden crossed the finish line first in his No. 72 XXX sprint car. Borden won the track championship with a XXX chassis back in 2007, and looks to repeat in 2009. Before the weekend, Placerville Speedway brought back its popular "Wild Winged Wednesday" and held a Civil War Series event that evening before a full house of spectators. Severe weather entered the area and lightning lit up the night sky and thunder rattled buildings everywhere. While that happened, Andy Forsberg was making some thunder of his own on the track as he raced to the lead in his No. 92 XXX. When the checkered flag was thrown, Forsberg was a winner in 360 sprint car competition for the fourth time this season. Triple X Race Co. would like to congratulate everyone who was victorious with a XXX chassis this weekend.
