Ryan Jones and his new XXX win again, takes Mayors Cup Murray Bridge resident Ryan Jones has been on fire Down Under the last few weeks. Jones recently debuted a new Triple X sprint car in Australia and finished second at Speedway City his first night out. In the second race on Sunday, March 8th, Jones went on a tear at his hometown Murray Bridge Speedway and won his second straight Australian 360 Sprint Car Championship from the 17th starting position. Then came Saturday, March 14th. Back at Speedway City, Jones took part in the City of Playford Mayors Cup for 360 sprint cars, and he ended up winning again. Starting in the second row, the 24-year-old Jones chased down leader Mark Caruso and passed him for the lead with three laps remaining. For Jones, it was his third victory of the 2008-09 Australian sprint car season, all of those wins coming in XXX sprint car chassis. The new XXX sprint car Jones has used is looking good right now. In just three starts in the new car, Jones has two victories and a runner-up finish. As he has done before, Jones praised his XXX sprint car. "This new car has been fast straight out of the box. It has recorded two wins and a second place in just three shows. We really can't ask for more than that" Jones said in a team press release.
