uncle a, until you actually know what is REALLY going on behind the scenes, maybe you should keep your "f" bombs too yourself and have yet another drink - away from the computer.

I like your shows in enid !!! I like what you you do there. I am sorry to say this this tho, Both times I ran enid this year it was one in the morning when I got home. I dont understand you sayin we will be out of there by eight at all. If so I will never complain about a sunday race again. Each time the NCRA sport mods have ran last, by the time we go through tech and load up it is late. I dont have to work sunday so if it was saturday there would be no hurry lol. My problem is run a sport mod race on sunday. You have NCRA sport mods run and that forces people to show up when they are tryin to run for points and at the same time have a life too. If it were just a sport mod race it is on the team , they cant gripe (in my opinion) if they up and decide to go. So your theory for messin with points does come into play now. You are forcin me to be there if I want to stay in points when it is not (forgive my spelling) feasable for me to race a sunday. I will be there with bells on sunday tho cause I have traveled with the NCRA all year. Maybe we could talk ed into runnning the sport mods first MAYBE!! LIKE I SAID THO ED DOES DO A GREAT JOB AS FAR AS PUTTIN A SHOW!!!!
|
No matter what the sport mods is going to run last or next to the last in enid because they always have enough cars they have to run one or two B features . Those drivers need time to work on theirs car after the B feature. Most of the time headliners of the show is towards the end anyway. I beleive the demo derby is last this sunday.

Agrees with Kelly,,
Thanks for deleting that post,,, Thanks for what you do for our sport David.
Also a big Thank you to Ed for doing what he does.
Have to say when he went IMCA in Dodge City I was disapointed. Turns out the national set of rules has been by far the best way to go..
Sure there are rules I wish were different,, But its not about ME it's about the SPORT and having the best quality and competitive racing you can have. IMCA has done a fantastic job with that,,, OH and I used to cuss IMCA, turns out I wasn't as smart as I thought I was.
I would hope that the promoters and racers alike can put aside their selfishness and think about the sport of dirt track racing in Oklahoma,,,
I usually don't post, sure my thoughts will be trashed, but I've been around this my entire life,,, dirt track racing was dying in the 80's,,,, the uniform set of IMCA modified rules revived dirt track racing in the mid west. We all got selfish and wanted more open rules......... how has that been working out????
I speak mostly of mod's, but its the same for all classes..... I quit running a street stock when they kept becoming limited late models... how is the street stock class going now?????

David, I have no clue what you are talking about. I have only made one post under this topic that is still there. I have been out of town all week working and had no computer access. After talking to someone I have changed my password, because I feel that it was highjacked.
I did not get a chance to read the post but I would never drop the F-bomb on this forum. I am all about getting everybody to work together, and I do know what is going on behind the scences.
I apologize to all for words that did not come from me.

IMCA stock cars (at least from watching them in Hays and WaKeeney) is the closest most well balanced class of racing I've seen. Those are some of the best raes I've been to. When you get some good drivers with good cars its awesome.

I totally agree.
I have had the opportunity to watch racing in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. By far the best racing has been at tracks that follow and abide by the IMCA set of rules.
I don't know how many times I have seen the Stock and Hobby classes run 15 to 20 laps with 10 or more cars running 2 - 3 wide the whole race for the lead. Places a lot of emphasis on the drivers ability.
It would be nice to see several of the promoters start running the IMCA rules and possibly alternate weekends with the different classes to allow the opportunity for the drivers and teams to experience the different tracks.

IMCA rules has to be a step in the right direction because of they way the Sport mod's have been recepted all over the central region of the U.S.
Mr. Ed I applaud you for bringing racing back to Enid and I hope you keep it on Sunday's, maybe start a little earlier even yet? 4:00?
If 2 or 3 tracks in Oklahoma get on the same page it would be great to be able to race Friday, Saturday and Sunday if a team wanted to do it on any given weekend.
