A chip should be able to be OHM tested with an ordinary DC volt tester to check the limit I believe, and I agree that bouncing a motor off a rev limiter constantly can be very hard on equipment. I don't turn my motors near 7000 rpm. Did some dyno testing and realized there was no need to abuse my stuff just cause everybodys doing it. I think they should limit the cars to the holly 500's with the 6200 chip and they should have left the motors stock to begin with.

I was just wondering, what happens when your crate motor has a problem at the track? You cant open it to try to fix it, so what now? You have to load up and watch the races or do you have to buy a spare and change motors?

i would love the feeling of showing up at the track and parking next to 3 stacker trailers and know, hey i got just as much motor as these guys.
