Just wanted to let everyone know that all is well here. I was released from the hospital at around 2am this morning. They just checked me out for internal bleeding and broken bones. I have some torn muscles in my left shoulder, brused ankle, and ribs. Other than that I am right as the mail.
I read the post from eairler and would like to clear up a few things. 1st. The incident in the heat between me the 79 and Dusty was just racing. I made a move inside Dusty and outside the 79 car in turn 3. The 79 car was a little squirly and justed bumped my left rear intering turn 3 this getting me lose and I tapped Dusty spinning him. I don't thnk the 79 did it on pourpose and there is no way I would have hit Dusty on pourpose with him being in the hunt for the championship.
When I was comming throught the pits I stopped down close to Dusty's pits to let him know what happened. Dusty was too hot and had no interest in listening nor did Joey they just wanted to act like I just ran completly over him. I would think when a guy is man enough to stop and talk to a friend about what happened they could at least hear him out. Dusty, Joey, and myself have raced together for years and we have never had any problems we couldn't talk about. If I run over someone I am man enough to say that I did it and I am sorry. Or if I felt you had it comming I would tell you, no matter who you are. Its not worth it to me as a man to try and hide behind an excuse.
2nd. The A- feature. I was running the high line and and comming out of turn 4 I was passing Dusty on the outside. When I commited to the opening outside of Dusty there was plenty of room, but at the last secound Dusty headed straight for the wall putting me in it.
Now, Dusty, Joey, give this some thought. If I was as closed minded as you were eairler that night I would say Dusty destroyed my car and took a chance at hurting me really bad. The track would also agree from their view that is what happened. But being in the car and not vewing it from the stands or pits I think that Dusty was down on power and either leaving the track or just slowing to get out of the way. It was just an accident that happened.
Now think about this Joey,
You are the same guy that punched my car earlier and almost caused me and you to get in a brawl. Now my car is destroyed, I could have been hurt really bad. All of this because of a small mistake by Dusty. I walk over to the fence seconds after the wreck and you ask this favor from me. " Thomas, will you please tell the track officials that wasn't on purpose because they are going to disqualify Dusty." Isn't that ironic. What do I do? When I get with Tom Sanders I tell him the truth, even though I felt you guys were total assholes eairler, I tell the truth to the best that I know it. I told him Dusty didn't do it on pourpose. It was an accident.
As for the low life's that made the comment that I got what I deserved. I am not hard to find. Next time I'm at a race or you see me anywhere come up and let me know how you feel.
As for any comment about hoping I am dead. Other than the effect that would have on my three children, wife, and friends I have some disappointing news for you. There is a place in Heaven for me someday and what a glorious day that will be. I have many friends and family there waiting for me including my mother that was taken from me when I was only 3yrs old. So I really feel sorry for you if you think me dying would help you feel better. So there is an invitation for you also. If you see me around come let me know how you feel about my livelyhood. Maybe we can have a comming to Jesus party.
Thank everyone for the calls and prayers. That was on heck of a ride. I am doing fine and will be back out here soon.
Thomas Tillison

Sounds like a bad deal. I am sorry that you are hurt Tillison. You were the first racer that was nice to me when I moved to Oklahoma and I will never forget that. You are a great driver and I respect you. If you need anything we are here to help. God bless you and your family.

Very nice post by Tilly. I'm not an SFS regular anymore but I can say that I've always thought he was a class act. The Buntins on the other hand haven't changed in 25 years. Still typical of the street stock "persona" of the 80's. Low life bubbas who'd rather fight than race. Same ilk as the Dentons in OKC and the Bergers at Meeker. I guess all tracks have 'em.

whew! bet Mr. Smith doesn't touch that one! lol. Man I couldn't really say either way on any of the factory stocks. I don't pay too much attention unless Flash is racin. That class is just downright horrible. I say that because Lanny can talk all that shit on the pro stocks. Then they get 16 - maybe coulda got another 1 or 2 if clinton wasn't racin ------but yeah pros had 16....and the factories had 14. By the nature of these classes the factories should have many, many more.

Hey David, I have an idea. Why don't you change tidbits, where the people that post have to use their real names and not fake ones. Then maybe the chicken s--ts will quit posting, about things when the don't know the whole (or real) story. As for my husband and kids being low lifes, atleast they are not chicken s--ts and can take care of themselves and they don't come on here and use fake names. Yes back in the 80's there was a lot of fighting (not just the buntin's and the denton's), back then people came to you and said what they had to say to your face and not behind your back. That is what these idiots are doing by using a fake name. So if you have something to say to us just come on by. We are not hard to find, were are always at some track. As for Tilly, we talked to him after the race and there were no hard feelings. As for someone saying they wished he were dead, it was not us. We don't wish that on anyone. We don't like to see cars totaled and we REALLY don't like to see people to get hurt. Sometimes tempers flare and things are said and done that are later regretted.
Joe, Kristie, Dusty, Joey, and family.

i am sorry that this happened, yes we have raced for a while together and never had any problems, like i said to u the other night i saw u and becker get tight a couple of times on the track i never accused anybody of taken care of someone elses business or anything of the nature,
tilly you have an aggressive driving style (not saying it is bad because my brother does to)but that doesnt make it cool to bump and then come down and talk about it ,everyone has there opinion about the 79 ,37,85 heat race thing and i didnt see the 79 bump at all im not saying you are wrong or myself but it is in the past i put it behind me sunday night, what i cant get past is that ppl dont know me they dont need to judge me (nonwing, whoever else )yes i admit i have a temper, but when it takes everything to make car run up front with all the money out there u tend to be protective of it and mad
i do not like being called low life by someone who does not know me
tilly i dont want you to take this the wrong way everyone has an opinion,i have no hard feelings toward you at all ,if you need anytihing call me

Hey Tom,
My dad told me the good news that you are fine. We were sure praying for ya, that was one of the worst wrecks I've seen in a full bodied car at SFS. I heard that you about got your modified engine ready?? Hope to see you run some more races this year at Brill and other places.
God Bless,
Travis

Kristie... when people were saying someone was yelling "that's what he gets" and all that other bs... it wasn't even a buntin! I guess it could have been, since he was wearing an allen shirt and talking to Momma Allen... but as far as anyone knows, he is just a guy wearing an Allen shirt!
The rest with Dusty and Thomas is between them and nobody else! If they have settled it, then it should be done!

Wow, I come home from a long day of work, walked two miles to pick up my car from Stanley's, runnin a 101 degree temp and find this. As I mentioned, that deal between Buntin and Tilly is just that, between them two and noone else. No family or significant others.
I have got to know Dusty pretty well and have respected him as such. Tilly has been a member of this here tidbits for a long time and while we only met once, I respect him to the upmost and even cheer him on.
Being on this side of the fence, where I have a message board for all of you to come to and vent (although I would prefer to talk positively about racing), I try hard to stay as nutural as can be. 99% of you racers out there I consider friends and would do anything for each of you that I can. What bothers me is when something like this occurs or other incidents where people are hurt and could have been alot worse than what it turned out to be. I would hope every racer out there respects each other and those related to those people enough to where they would never want anything bad to happen.
I have never raced but I know the emotion is there. I am sure you don't think clearly in the heat of the moment and Tilly I thought you knew this before stopping at the trailer, even though your purpose was great.
Both of you have talked over the phone and settled what had happened and I thank you both for getting on here and telling both your sides. All too often there are those who take sides and they aren't even involved with those involved. That is when bad things can happen.
What I am basically trying to say is, Tilly, I have enjoyed you forever here on tidbits and always keep an eye out on you when your on the racetrack. Thank goodness your okay as that was plenty ugly. Everybody else, this seems to be a dead issue and so nothing else should be commented on this topic.
