Have been wanting to get out to Manzanita. I see on the schedule in Nov. the Western World Championship..Is this a strictly 410 show...how many cars do they normally draw..is this a 2 day or 3 day deal...I will be traveling across the country, and want to be sure it's worth the trip...any information would be appreciated...Thanks

i go to western world and oval nationals. western at manzy has been a 3 day show

they have 360's that run on the small track and 410's run the big 1/2 mile.

it's a great show. oval nationals is a 410 race only

both are great races. perris is a top notch race track.

and manzy has change hands just this week they plan some good changes for that place

oh ya both are run with out billboards --- non-wing

Actually this year the Western is 410's on Friday and Saturday only and they have added late models to run on thursday and saturday. The 360's are not part of the show this year, because they have their own "western" with the ASCS wing cars in october. The reason the 410's are only Fri & Sat is because USAC scheduled the silver crown cars at PIR that thursday night and didn't want conflict.

jack - I am from Phoenix and been going to Manzy all my life. If you like non wing action on a big fast track, it is worth the trip. It's a USAC national and CRA points race so all the big names are here. I've been to Perris quite a few times and the Oval Nationals are worth the trip too.
