I believe they go by the old way of "driving by the track to see if it's locked" that's when you know they're not racing.
I called last week for verification of being rained out, it was confirmed by the Male voice on the phone they were rained out, only to have the post I made deleted and another thread saying they were racing.
So just do like we do, WAIT, drive by the track at about 5 to 6pm and see if the gates are locked or if cars are in line.
