Was just thinking about how Hutch use to be the BIGGEST race around these parts, prestige , honor , and all the spoils went to the fella who won that show ,50+ Supers Mods at it , it was Hot ,Hot,Hot in middle of summer and outdoors and has not been itself since the late 80's (In my Opinion).

Enter a race called the Chili Bowl in the late 80's and it's held indoors , middle of winter and is usually Cold,Cold,Cold and Ice can even be on the ground , has all the same things Hutch had and probably some more as the winners driving career can get a big boost by winning the deal , has over 250+ Entries, kind of funny how things change over time as in this example.

Hutch: Longest wheelbase openwheel cars ran it back then.

Chili Bowl: Shortest wheelbase cars run it now.

Just a thought on this Friday afternoon.

J.D.
