ALKY2,

Thats Greg Weld on the cover in the #92 car that he drove to second place points in 1965.

He finished only 2.5 points back from Champion Johnny Rutherford that year in USAC.

This car orginally came from California, and was built by Willie Davis. In 1966 the car was sold

to Bill Hoback, and he raced at Tulsa with Buddy Cagle behind the wheel.

I believe that Luther Brewer states that this car was used as inspiration for one of his super modified designs.

Possibly the car that Thad Dosher won the Knoxville Nationals in 1967, and driven by Tiger Bob Williams

to three track championships, and over 40 wins in 1969.

ALKY 2,

Yes, this car was the design used for Luther's 5th race car that won 5 track titles, and the Knoxville Nationals

in 1967. There is a picture of it in the section on Luther in RFTP.
