Racing From the Past Supporters,
Tom Davey who raced midgets, and sprint cars, with clubs that included the RMMRA,
BCRA, and the CARC, as well as writing a Column for National Speed Sport News
called "Pit Notes From The Rockies" has a inoperable cancer.
This has resulted in the Belleville High Banks Hall Of Fame inductee, and the BCRA
Hall of Fame inductee, moving into a Hospice type situation.
You may also know Tom from his coverage of events that have included the Chili Bowl,
and the Belleville Midget Nationals. For over 30 years Tom, and his best bud Jerry Miller,
have written articles and taken pictures at the Belleville Midget Nationals. These articles have
appeared in NSSN, and Open Wheel Magazine among others.
As a race driver Tom raced in the RMMRA against drivers that included, Foster Campbell,
Joe Giba, and Eddie Jackson. Racing in the ranks of the BCRA Sprint Car Club, Tom
battled against drivers that included, Harold Leep, Dale Reed, Jerry Shumaker, Lloyd Beckman,
and Charlie Lutkie.
