After a 30 minute rain delay the Weld Family Memorial races were run at Valley Speedway last night. 21 sprints showed up for the $1,000 to win 25 laps A-main. Chris Walker looked unbeatable as he opened up a sizable lead in the opening part of the race. After a yellow flag for a car flipping and going over the bearm in turn #1 Walker again resumed the lead with Mitchell Moore in 2nd and then J D Black started what would be his run to the front from his 4th place starting position.

After Black got around Moore he pressured Walker for a few laps , when Walker missed his entry spot into turn #3 and the front end slid out and the car went up the track Black made the pass on the bottom side of the track for the lead.

After a yellow flag with Walker in 2nd Walker would get around Black threw turns 1 and2 only to have Black charge back and take the lead back in turns 3and 4.

Some good sprint car racing that would make the Weld Klan happy to represent their name. Enjoy.

I made the trip up there and had a blast! What a fun little race track, with great racing in all classes, both nights. I look forward to going back!
