It looked like a local might win one for the fans but Justin Boney could not hold off the regulars of the USMTS at the "Hummer" Thursday night. In a hard fought battle with Ryan Gustin in the early part of the race Boney looked like he had the stuff to hold off the "Reaper" and the rest of the USMTS.
In the end it was not Gustin who Boney needed to worry about, Jason Hughes who started 13th slowly worked his way up thru the field and passed Boney at about the mid race point. Once out front Hughes worked his way to about a straightaway lead.
Kelly Shryock and Ryan Gustin would make their presents felt and come home 2nd and 3rd. Another great race from the "Hummer", 48 cars in the pit area for the race. Enjoy.
