H. E. Pat Haskard

H. E. Pat Haskard, 74, of 310 West 27th, died
Jan. 17, 1991, at his home at Hutchinson.

He was born Nov. 5, 1916, at Partridge, the son
of Walter Ray and Jessie Louis Turk Haskard. A longtime resident of Hutchinson,
he was the owner and operator of Haskard Cleaners from 1948 to
1984.

He was a member of the International Order of
Odd Fellows, Nickerson, Reno County Historical Society, Sports Car Club of
America, past member of the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce, and the Optimist
Club, both of Hutchinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving
a Purple Heart.


On Dec. 29, 1966, he married Thelma L. Arthur at
Hutchinson. She survives.


Other survivors include: three daughters,
Patricia Ruth Hinkle, Overland Park, Judy Schrater, 8102 Summers Road, and Candy
Curless, Spring Hill; a brother, Frederick L. Fritz, Wichita; two sisters,
Louise MacArthur, San Antonio, Texas, and Edith Marie Harris, Worland, Wyo.; six
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.


Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at
Johnson and Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Revs. Jeff Bullock and
Douglas Mould presiding. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and from 9
a.m. to service time Saturday at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home,
Hutchinson. Burial will be in the Partridge cemetery, Partridge.


Memorials may be sent to the Hospice of Reno
County in care of the funeral home.
